I organised a group of 17 and was very impressed with the help and advice over the internet ( thankyou Rhonna ), especially as I live in Australia. There was always some local knowledge to help make the reunion special. Great feel when you arrive at the top of Military Hill with ideal location. Friendly reception staff, comfortable rooms, decor... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the AMBASSADOR what an excellent choice I made. The reception staff (April in paticular) could not have been more polite and excelled in anything we asked of them. Nothing was to much trouble down to reservations for restaurants or the best places to visit. We will be retuning to this... more

We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at the Ambassaor Hotel. The staff were very helpful and obliging. The hotel had great character and charm while providing all the mod-cons expected of a hotel. But BE WARNED...........the portions of food are massive!!!! I know its not really a complaint as the food was lovely but make sure your hungry... more

When we pulled up to this hotel in Cork..which is a 10 min walk down a very steep hill to the centre i thought it looked beautiful, both of us were extremely pleased and couldnt wait to get into our room. However when we arrived at 2 pm the time for check in we were served by the most unpleasent receptionist... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Cork. The Ambassador was an excellent choice. The staff were so accommodating. We arrived early and they let us into a beautifully decorated front -of- the- house room with a balcony overlooking Cork. The breakfasts were served in a pretty dining room and the pub in the hotel was... more

We stayed two nights at the Ambassador in July 2009. On the positive side I have to say that they have a plenty of parking spaces available, the breakfast is average to good and the room is ok. But there were too many issues for a two day stay: - First of all we had just one set of towels... more

We were here for a 2 night weekend stay before moving on to Kinsale for some sailing the following week. We were given a room in the new part of the Hotel at the back and were pleasantly surprised to find how roomy this was with a very large bathroom as an added bonus. Everything felt luxurious as well as... more

It was with difficulty I eventually found this hotel. The hill was difficult enough but the roadworks at the green kiosk really tested my driving skills. Not surprisingly there were no coach parties at this hotel - no way could a coach make it. Having said that once we arrived we received a warm welcome and shown to our room... more

we arrived at 930 am and were told we couldnt check in early as no rooms were availble - we did think this was a bit implausible as the hotel itself was very quiet as we didn't see any guests and also the car park was under half filled - but I cant prove that , but it was just... more
