A very good hostel in the centre of Cork. The Staff were very friendly I thought. There is a nice view from the top floor Rooms. A small breakfast is included - just coffee & toast - but good value. Just bring your own fruit! Would return as it is close to every thing and I liked having the choice... more

I stayed in a private room in this hostel because I wanted to save money. It was pretty shabby. We asked for a triple and got a room with 6 single beds. The beds are about 6 feet long so don't expect a lot of comfort if you're tall. There was no sheet, just a duvet with a removable cover... more

Great location - a five minute walk from town - and what you'd expect for the reasonable price. There was some mold on the walls, it's definitely in need of a lick of paint, but if you're just looking for somewhere to rest your head for the night, it's fine. The beds were very comfy, too. The main problem I... more

I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone. I felt like I was staying in a hospital. The shower and toilet was really gross. They say they have parking, but it was such a pain. The hostel is a little way out and not worth the price for what it is. more

From management to personnel, from facilities to cleanliness, this hostel is utterly unacceptable. Personnel are rude and hyper vigilant about letting the “wrong” people in the hostel. There is no sense of being welcomed. After staying for a few days I asked a staff member if they wanted me to pay for the next night then or come back later... more

Very quiet and close to town but needing more cleaning. We had a double room which was clean and OK. The bed was pretty old but no surprise for a hostel. The female bathrooms where better than the male. The male bathrooms felt like they may have been cleaned by long term tenants of the hostel and were not very... more

We stayed at the Kinlay House hostel in Cork for 2 days. The room was quite basic, but we did have an ensuite bathroom/shower. Nice thing about the shower was that it was not a push button shower and you were able to adjust the temperature. The location is great, about 5 minute walk to City Centre (hostel is located... more

Stayed here for two nights in July. The good points: 1) Location - a ten minute walk, over the river, to the heart of Cork 2) Good value - €24 per person in a twin room 3) Free light breakfast - basically bread and jam, tea and coffee, but very welcome after a heavy night of craic, or ahead of... more

Having stayed in a lot of similar places, I would say this is one of the best. It's very good value and has everything you would expect for the price. Staff were friendly and the room was quiet, comfy and clean. The communal areas (kitchen, lounge) had a nice atmosphere, and the breakfast was very handy for those of us... more

Easy to find location, away from noise at night. Short walk to restaurant areas. Friendly staff, car parking at back, short walk to main Cork attractions. more
