Given that we all know the Ibis chain is a chain of budget hotels this place really is quite good - Ive stayed there alot on business and compared to some similar hotels in the area it really does stand out. You do need a car though and this place is definelty aimed at the business traveller. Food isnt great... more

Four of us stayed at the Ibis in early May and found it to be very good value for the money. We are family and had two double rooms. The beds were very comfortable and I had one of the best sleeps ever in a hotel. The rooms were very clean. We stayed for three nights. Tea and coffee making... more

I agree with other reviewers that the hotel is not well located for the city unless you have a car, and is not well signposted either. It is right beside the South ring road, however, and that means that it is right beside one of the main access routes to Cork. Staff were helpful, but there is little ambiance in... more

I recently stayed at the IBIS Hotel in Cork for a two night weekend in October with my wife. The hotel is very good value for what you get. The reception area is okay but the lack of a real bar is a big drawback. We were ordering our drinks all evening through a door into the kitchen. The rooms... more

A good hotel on a budget. Room was large and very clean and spotless. A bit soulless and a fair distance from City Centre. Can be hard to locate! more

Here we are talking a 2 star out of town centre hotel belonging to the accor group. A little tricky to find from the main route and would benefit from improved route signage. Exterior is 80's anonymous. Car park adequate for hotel capacity. foyer a little dated but not 'tired'. Reasonably welcoming. Desk staff polite/friendly depending on individual. All adequately... more

Ibis Cork East is the typical Ibis chain hotel but room was much larger than usual at Ibis. Hotel is not so easy to find with the old Ibis-provided map, but now the map has been updated and now it should be easier to find; a large car parking is available for free. Crew is kind and very professional. Restaurant... more

Spent two days at the Ibis on a stag weekend , rooms excellent , shower spot on , breakfast average. Only a couple of problems hotel bar only open from 1pm to 12:30 am , and when you come in after twelve thirty there are no snacks or drinks available , not even a drinks machine. Hotel staff seemed to... more

I would just like to say that I found the Ibis hotel in Cork excellent place to stay, the room was fabulous it was very spacious, the bathroom a little sparse but overall thought service and standard of the hotel to excellent. Staff were friendly and courteous. the only disadvantage i would have is that if you do not have... more

Considering the beauty of the area, and the wealth of hotels and B&Bs on offer, why did I stay here? No idea! It is a long way out of town, so hopeless if you don't have a car (and even then, a dull drive to Cork, with limited parking). The hotel itself is in bad need of a facelift, the... more
