I've stayed many times in the Lancaster Lodge, when I visit Cork on business. They do everything just right there. Very clean and new, not a stained anything nor tatty edge to be seen. The bathrooms are modern and spotless. Showers are hot. The rooms have everything you need for mod-con. More important, the beds are very comfortable, and have... more

We stayed at Lancaster Lodge for one night in December to enjoy the Christmas celebrations in the city. Lancaster Quay is a 5-10 minute walk to the English Markets and shopping lanes. We bought our stay on hotels.com and secured a room only price. We arrived early (8am) on the Saturday morning and wanted to drop our bags at the... more

Within easy walking distance of the centre. Felt very modern and the good sized rooms have been recently updated, although now feel slightly charaterless. Only stayed one night and didn't use the restaraunt. more

Great stay.

Good location, a short distance from the city center. AMAZING huge breakfast. Nice clean room, very comfortable. Very nice staff, though middle-of-the-night request for extra sheets was not attended to. more

The picture on their website is a little misleading. The hotel isn't quite that lovely. The rooms were nice and clean. The location was great. Breakfast was tasty. No complaints. Decent value for money. more

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It is located near the downtown area of Cork. The staff was friendly and the room spotless. The hotel was not exceptional, but a good place to stay, more

This was a great place to stay. Within walking distance to city centre. Wonderful helpful staff. The rooms were spotless and good sized. During July, they had a great deal. If you stayed for two nights the third night was free. I would certainly recommend the Lancaster and will stay there again should we return. If you have a rental... more

I thought I had booked a hotel and it turned out to be the best 'guest house' ever! Because no liquor - no hotel status. Who cares! We had a lovely time, excellent choice for breakfast (a bit dear because of the euro situation), staff couldn't be faulted - everyone pleasant and helpful. And the best bit - the location.... more

We were more than happy with our stay here. Paid a little over our budget but were not disappointed. Staff at reception and in the dining room were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the best we'd had anywhere- fantastic. Room was nicely decorated and clean - fairly roomy in comparison to other hotels. Only negative was that there was... more
