My wife and I stayed at Fernroyd House in July of 2008. Tony and Avril are unbelievable hosts and went above and beyond to make the guests at their B & B feel like family members. Breakfast was outstanding (do not miss the scones). The location near the University was great as it was an easy walk to the town... more

My wife Jean and I have just returned from a 10 day trip to Ireland, we stayed in 3 B&B's and 1 hotel, without doubt the best of these was the Fernroyd House. Tony and Avril were very welcoming and helpful, their B&B is terrific. We stayed at number 6 down the road which is new and very well presented.... more

A great B+B. Professional yet homely. Was Molly's first night, and am sure she will make a great addition to the family. Mr Chips is just delightful ... truly the butler of the house! Thankyou. more

The hosts Tony & Avril were great - that well judged mixture of friendly but not intrusive. They were extremely helpful. Our bedroom was lovely with a nice ensuite bathroom. They have another house just up the road where you can use the kitchen, TV room, etc, so very good for groups. Good location, close to university and town centre... more
