Inshowen is a long way from anywhere but well worth the trip. After visiting several cities it was a real treat to stay in the most rural area of Ireland. Trean House was such a lovely surprise for us. It is a working farm, but the owners take the time out of their day to talk and help you have a great vacation. We had arrived late one night and Mervyn went out of his way to call several restaurants in town to see if they were still serving. And... more

We stayed at Trean House for 3 nights - it is fantastically situated in the middle of green countryside, 5 mins walk to a little pebble beach. The owners, Joyce & Mervyn, are very pleasant, they let us feed their 2 orphaned lambs which were so sweet! They also have 2 fab dogs which are very friendly (not overbearing so!).... more
