We had a great time. The hotel is informal, clean, comfortable - the hosts are warm and welcoming, the rooms spacious and superior. They have peat fires. It is perfectly located - so easy to get to pristine beaches, Bluestack mountains, wild countryside - and 2 minutes from Donegal town. No hesitation in recommending this hotel. more
I stayed here as a business traveller for 2 nights in April and my experience was wonderful. Convenient enough to where I had to do my work, it was a joy to return to my gorgeous, spacious room each evening. Once there I found it so relaxing I didn't want to leave, so one night having brought dinner back with... more
From the minute we arrived we fell in love with this place! The owner Sian, and her husband were v welcoming. The B&B itself was more like a 5* hotel, the room was massive with great facilities - hairdryer, coffee maker, huge comfortable beds, v helpful tourist information booklet. Sian & her husband offered to book us into our restaurant... more
This is a wonderful guest house which is more like a hotel! The reception area is warm and inviting, the rooms are large and spacious. Our room had two double beds and all the amenities you would find in a hotel room! Sian, the owner of the guest house whom we dealt with, is lovely. Very welcoming and more than... more
Just returned from a trip to Ireland and Donegal was great. Donegal Manor is located a little out of town, so very quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast was wonderful and served to order. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great tub and shower. I would recommend them highly and would stay there again.... more
A modern and smartly equipped bed & breakfast that gives the feeling of a hotel. The warm peat fire is a delightful welcome. The rooms are well equipped and spacious with very comfortable beds. Loads of parking and just a shop hop into town. Worth staying here. more
Shawn and her husband have spent their lives making a beautiful quiet corner in the northwest corner of Ireland to welcome weary travelers. She was so kind to us and so engaging. She was genuinely interested in us and how she could make our stay comfortable. These sorts of people give Ireland its special charm., and what a beautiful breakfast.... more
We stayed at Donegal Manor for one night during a drive around Ireland. The proprietors were extremely nice and welcoming. The atmosphere, with the toasty peat fire in the parlor, was wonderful. The breakfast was DELICIOUS, the best we had the entire time in Ireland. Also, they offered an interesting interactive information station that allowed you to look up attractions,... more
Stayed here for one night with friends during our October trip around Ireland. This Manor House just outside of town was delightfully appointed, with a nice sitting area downstairs by the fireplace, and a well apportioned quiet room. The proprietors do a great job of making you feel welcome, and I could not recommend this small quiet guest house with... more
