Spent a weekend there with my boyfriend. When booking we were informed that on the Friday night there would be a wedding so there may be a little noise. This was fine as were actually attending the wedding. We decided to make a weekend of it and stayed the Saturday night as well. After a beautiful meal in the restaurant... more

This hotel has recently been re-furbished to a very high standard. Feeling of luxury and opulence (without going over the top) Good location for exploring North Donegal Excellent swimming pool Very good bar meals and restaurant. more

Myself and the girlfriend stayed for one night at the hotel €200 for B&B. We where not overly impressed with the hotel. The TV in the room did not work and when we rang down to reception to ask why, we where informed that the hotel TV’s would not be working until the Tuesday morning (this was Saturday evening). When... more

From the moment we arrived in the hotel until when we checked out I’m afraid the Four star experience as suggested on your website was far from what we encountered. Firstly upon arrival we found it impossible to get parking in the hotel as the car park was completely full. When we got to reception we were informed that despite... more

Myself and wife stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday in May 2008 for a wedding. We know this hotel as we had popped in for a drink a few times but this was our first time staying. Over all it was a great experience. The location is excellent, Northwest Donegal with the Atlantic on your doorstep plus one... more

My parents stayed in the Ballyliffen for a Wedding. To start the bed spread in the bedroom had 2 enormous black stains, and the room had only a velux window. My parents could not even look out a window because there wasn't any. Considering they paid 180 Euro's for one night B&B!!!!..... it was extremely disappointing. I had e-mailed the... more

We stayed in Ballyliffen Hotel and Spa for one night. My overall impression of the hotel is negatively tainted by the excessive price. For the money we paid, I would have expected 4 star luxury. Unfortunately Ballyliffen comes up short. The reception area is impressive and we were warmly greeted. Check in was extremely efficient. The room (standard, no sea... more

Just returned after 1 night in this hotel with our 3 kids. Very nice hotel denfin 4star, had dinner in the holly tree resturant, the food was excellent and the service too. If you like high class food, you would go wrong here. We stay in a standard room and probably wasnt the best choice for 2 adl-3 kids, but... more
