Our rooms range from Classic through Deluxe and on to our River View and Garden Terrace Suites. Featuring warm decor and shaker oak furniture, our bedrooms include tea and coffee making equipment, complimentary toiletries and snacks, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Our super King Size beds have fluffy pillows and crisp white linens so you can get a great night’s sleep. We also have rooms with River Liffey views, Private Balconies and Terraces available. Our hotel features the world-famous Octagon Bar, the perfect setting for a glamorous gathering of friends over cocktails or pre-match pints. The hotel also plays host to a stylish restaurant featuring Irish and European cuisine. Room service is available 24/7. Meeting spaces are also available. Within the hotel complex there are many drinking and dining experiences, from the chilled out bliss of The Study to the super stylish Octagon Bar, the perfect spot for an afternoon cocktail or a laid back nightcap. We also have Michelin star chef Oliver Dunne's Cleaver East restaurant within our walls and we are very proud that Oliver and his team provide all catering at the hotel, so whether it's a late night bite in your room or a Full Irish breakfast the next morning, you know your food will be of the highest standard, made from the freshest produce, closely cared for by Michelin starred hands. It is worth noting that our central city centre location does mean that the area can be lively at night, especially at the weekends and while we have taken every effort to reduce noise, it is not possible to block it all out. Please do consider this before booking.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent all round! What a find! A beautiful hotel - boutique features and beautiful decor in an absolutely amazing location. On the river and a stones throw from all the action. Special mention has to be for Kerri-Ann who was professional, friendly and knowledgeable the whole time. I could not recommend enough. Must stay here if you go to Dublin.

Great location, modern interior in the lobby. The rooms are very dated, room was dirty and the enamel on the bath was damaged (watch your feet). The heating is controlled by the staff downstairs. You have to ask for it to be turned on. They’ll turn it on low for an hour max then turn it off. Take thick pjs or prepare to wear your coat to bed. The noise is next level. So take ear plugs. Hotel is definitely not worth the price.

Great drinks at the bar. Great atmosphere and not too busy on a Friday night. Sergio was a great bartender and even did a magic trick. Will definitely be back again. We had a mixture of signature cocktails and traditional cocktails that the team were happy to make.

The service at this hotel is amazing. Sergio, Emre, Karen and Jose have been the complete highlight of my entire trip. Without question. Comfort, home away from home, incredible service, wonderful drinks and a great bed. The staff go above and beyond honestly. They're the reason I'll keep coming back.

Sergio is the coolest mixologist in Dublin. Charismatic, sharp and the reason I stayed. His espresso martinis and spicy margaritas service and personality is spectacular. I recommend anyone to try this man’s cocktails and service. Thank you Sergio x

The Clarence was a mixed bag of a stay. The staff are excellent and the lobby is plush and beautiful. It all starts to crumble when you arrive at the bedroom. The room was very tired and lacked modern amenities, such as a USB charging point. The bathroom was a bit mouldy, with chipped and peeling enamel in the bath and sink. This hotel does not deserve its four-star rating.

Room Tip: The room I occupied had metal glazing that did not keep out the cold or the noise.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife following an event in Dublin City Centre. The hotel lobby is very nice, and check-in was efficient. The staff were friendly. We booked a standard double room. The room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was dated and had a bath with no walk-in shower. The Deluxe Rooms have a more modern bathroom. The hotel is in a busy location with a lot of noise. We didn't mind as we returned late. We opted for the breakfast included rate. It was a disappointment. Breakfast was in the Cleaver East restaurant attached to the hotel, and the quality of the food was very poor.

The hotel was a great place for 7 of us on a weekend away from Glasgow. The staff were so nice and friendly and the bars were great. It was handy for the centre of Dublin and we walked everywhere. We had a very reasonable rate as it was January and one of our rooms(mine luckily enough) was upgraded to a suite which was fab as we then had somewhere for us all to congregate.
