My friend and I arrived before the check in time to find our room was ready for us. Great start. Small room, with hoffific interior design. Large window overlooking a sex shop! Spent the day shopping in Dublin city.. Location very great for both shopping and eating out. Returned to hotel to get ready for a concert in the evening.... more

You can imagine that 3 guys up for a rugby match and a few beers would not be too fussy about a hotel but this place is the pits when we arrived the toilet was being repaired and was not fixed the room was filthy dirty the shower was manky and there was a smell of vomit in the hall... more

The hotel is in the perfect spot to enjoy the Dublin Temple Bar area and the city centre so it is a shame it does not come up to scratch. My friend and I stayed in room 204 which was basic. The decor is very tired and among faults in the room were the lack of a shower screen/curtain which we did... more

We stayed here on Satuday night as part of a weekend bread which included the Tyrone v Cork semi final. The price of 80 euro for the room was reasonable for City centry We read some the trip advisor reviews and were very worried before we arrived. Now I think people will always complain about something. This hotel derserves more... more

Keep in mind that this is a two-star-hotel and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It is clean and offers more space than the average two- (or three) star British hotel. It is a good place to stay if you are are not too fussy. Yes, the bed was a bit lumpy, and the TV small and with few channels, but everything... more

This little hotel looked great on the website and is in an ideal location. However, getting out was definitely the best bit of our stay! My hubby and I paid 330 euros for a two night stay, so that we could attend the U2 360% gig at Croke Park. What a rip off! Tiny bedroom "decorated" by a colourblind 4... more

This is a great hotel in Temple Bar with a super night club under it. We stayed here 1 night in July 2009 and we had a ball. The receptionest was great and very helpful. The rooms were basic and clean. Once again, don't be staying here if your not in the form for party time! more

The online information is much different than what you find when you arrive: Moldy showers, toilets don't flush, smelly, dirty linens, no heat, old bedding, broken windows and VERY loud until 2:30am. Save your money and don't ruin your vacation like we did. Could be suitable for college kids if it was less than the $500/night we spent. Management would... more

Spent one night here and then returned a few days later for two more nights. The hotel is in the Temple Bar area and there is a club with music right next door, so if you want a quiet place, this is not the place for you. But, I only heard music and nightlife noises one night out of three... more

The River House has amazing staff - except the management. Unfortunately, I had a large amount of money taken from my room. The house rules are that you hand in your key when you go out. The staff were great - except the owner and manager. They made me feel like I was bluffing..........and stated this had never happened before.... more
