Last summer several friends and I stayed at Buswells, having spent a couple of weeks in Spain and on our way to a week in Northern Ireland. We couldn't get two doubles so we got triples for the same price and that was great-a big bed and a smaller one. I had the smaller one and it was fine. The... More

We stayed for 2 nights for the Heineken Cup Final and booked nearly a year in advance. Turned out to be a great choice. The hotel has an olde world charm but doesn't feel dated, and the building itself is beautiful. The location is top notch for seeing all the sights Dublin has to offer. Breakfast was great, full Irish... More

Excellent hotel and especially excellent location. Location good for two reasons. Hotel is located between the Trinity College and the St Stephens green. Both easy five minute walk. Also the AirCoach bus from the airport stops about 50 feet from the hotel, especially nice since it was raining. Room 307 was large with updated bathroom. View from window was over... More

Stayed here for two nights. Friendly staff and good location. The lobby area is beautiful. The room was nice but very tight-literally only enough room to sleep. After a night doing the Musical Pub Crawl, we arrived back to the hotel later and the doors are locked and you have to be let in. You are supposed to give your... More

We stayed for one night only on Monday 7th May 2012. We had arrived on the "fast' ferry from Holyhead at about 1pm. The streets of Dublin are tricky to negotiate and we ended up inadvertently parking our car in a dingy and very dodgy looking car park which we thought was the one the hotel has an agreement with.... Tiny, tiny rooms -- sleeping only -- no room for hanging out/lounging. Load street noise. Front desk/hotel staff was not very friendly (usually the Irish are so friendly). They seemed rushed and didn't care to talk much with guests -- like they were tired of answering simple questions travelers may have.

I love the hunt for a good room with pleasing aesthetics, a nice location and a good value - Buswell's proved to be all that and more. We came in on a red-eye from the US, arriving at ~5:30 AM. Though the hotel was booked, and our room wasn't ready for some time (nor was it expected to be), the... More
