Stayed here for one night. Overall the guest house was clean. But the property is pretty run down and there is need for some renovation. This was especially obvious in the bathroom that just looked really old. Bed not very comfortable for two people. Staff very friendly. Extremely price friendly, paid 30 euros per night. More

On a recent trip to Dublin we once again stayed at our favourite B&B, Anchor House, right in the heart of Dublin. As before, we found all staff to be very friendly and helpful, our room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. A great "Full Irish Breakfast" in the morning set us up for the day. We highly recomend Anchor... More

It was our first acquaintance with Dublin and Ireland and it began from Anchor House. Everything in this place beginning with a look at it and finishing with hospitable and hearty owners and stuff were great. Location could be better though but we didn't mind the stroll. Excellent full irish breakfast. Great value for very reasonable price. More

We picked this guesthouse as it is ideally located in Dublin city centre with easy access to all the main attractions. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Staff were very helpful and really accomodating. I stayed here for three nights and could not recommend it highly enough. It really was a warm, homely experience for a great price in... More

I had a very lovely stay in Dublin recently when I went to meet up with friends/have a shopping trip. The Anchor was in a great location, easy to get to my night out and to the shops. Will definitely be staying here on any future trips to Dublin. More

My wife and I along with another couple stayed here for three nights in mid January. Warm hospitality, great rooms and central location made for a great end to our European Holiday. The price, inclusive of breakfast, was great value. The rooms were cleaned daily and there was a great suppy of hot water. The Guest sitting room with the open... More

Anchor Guest House Last night 24/1/2012 I stayed in the Anchor Guest House, Lower Gardiner Street. This is a family run establishment, with a warm inviting sitting room and comfortable modern bedrooms. The owner made himself known to me and asked if I required any special order for my breakfast. The room was warm and cosy, great shower and loads... More

Our family stayed at Anchor House for several days on either side of Christmas. The location is excellent, within an easy walk of everything you want to see in Dublin. The place is charming and the owners and staff really pleasant and warm. They will store your bags if needed, which was quite helpful. They also can keep your car... More

I chose this place because it was close to the bus station. It had good reviews so I had high expectations... which I guess made my disappointment even greater. The B&B had a good location but the room was.. really dirty. There was a crack in my wall (maybe an earlier guest kicked it in, it looked horrible) and the... More

My husband, brother and I went to stay in the Anchor for 3 nights in October 2011. - mainly to see the Dublin that we missed 50 years ago when students. It was a windy, wet evening and we were greeted with "Welcome!" and sat by the coal fire in the large drawing room! What better way to start to... More
