The Leeson Hotel, Lower Leeson St This was our first time staying in Dublin. We stayed at the Leeson Hotel which was fairly near the city centre. The room was warm (very!) and clean and the breakfast was plentiful. Staff appeared to be mainly foreign nationals but extremely friendly. We arrived late and couldn't find the hotel so we rang... more

If you are planning to stay at The Leeson Hotel, please reconsider! My expectations of a hotel are not high, a comfy bed, a nice shower and a clean quiet room is enough for me. The Leeson offers none of these things. There is a nightclub below the hotel that kicks out at 3am. Unless you are a very heavy... more

We stayed in this hotel based on the location and the pictures on the hotel web site which looked good. We couldn't have been more deceived. Firstly, the renovation to the rooms was a quick job consisting of new curtains, bed linen and wardrobe. This did not compensate for the fact that the carpet and toilet smelled revolting. Also, the... more

Booked over the telephone - then read reviews which were not glowing! Easy to mix up with Leeson Inn next door. Room very small and could have done with a blind at the window as it faced onto student accomodation. However linen changed daily and hot water flowing. Stayed Monday to Thursday - noise not a problem despite an event... more

We got a good deal on the rooms, and they were in a great location - a few minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green. I'm generally a pretty heavy sleeper, and I used earplugs, but the bass from the music from the nightclub downstairs was incredible. I thought that bars in Dublin had to close at 12 on weeknights, but... more

The room was very small and the shower/toilet cubicle even more so. The mirror over the washbasin was missing which made shaving somewhat awkward. I pointed out this omission to the receptionist on arrival and while she made a call to someone, nothing was done about it over the two days I stayed there. Breakfast wasn't served until 8am which... more

the hotel has some good looking features like the bar and breakfast room. it is in a good location to walk around dublin. there is free car parking which was good and the reception staff were helpful. the hotel is in the middle of some refurb works as the carpets and hallways are old fashioned and they have some plastic... more

I stayed here one night, the staff were good, the bar was nice, but the hotel lacked that unique irish atmosphere, it felt more like a chain hotel, the room was a bit small, other hotels i stayed out in ireland, were bigger and more spacious. The price was a little higher than it should be. But overall- ok, but... more

We arrived late at night about 11 after a flight from newcastle, they knew we coming late as i had arranged it with them, the front door is a locked fire door which was opened by a porter,we were then told that the breakfast was only a continental and not full irish (this would cost an extra 8 euros each)we then got... more
