The hotel was beautiful...the gardens amazing. One major downside to this hotel is the terrible food. The Italian restaurant had the worst food I ever tasted and the room service was more like a 2 maybe 3 star hotel. They charged 6 Euro !!!! service charge for each room service order we made. I have to say the room was... more

I'm beginning to think the radison sas chain are very poorly run hotels. Like its sister hotel in Galway this hotel makes you sign a pre authorison for more than the room rate with the assumption that you are dishonest enough to run off without paying for your drinks. The breakfast is just awful - bland bland bland. They put... more

Aaaarrrrrghhh!!! I'm so frustrated that this hotel wasn't as brilliant as it should have been.. The asthetics of the place are faultless - the garden, the bar, the room, the restaurant (unbelievable! In a good way) and everywhere else really looks the part... But how annoying that the service didn't live up to that standard! Don't get me wrong, the... more

To start with, when I arrived, the girl at reception didn't know that rate that I had booked under, tried to make me pay more, eventually gave up but looked disgruntled, and then put the hard sell on me about booking breakfast/ dinner/ putting down a deposit to use the minibar/ phone/ order room service, and gave me a bit... more

The St Helens Hotel is probably one of the best hotels ive ever stayed in. The hotel is set in beautiful landscaped gardens, we stayed in a business class suite "The Redwood" it was bigger than we needed, but hey you only get married once, When i booked i mentioned that it was our honeymoon i amazed to find in... more

One night repeat stay and again I found this hotel comfortable. Rooms are not bad - let down a bit by basic bathrooms. Great value for money in comparison to other five stars in Dublin but it is out of town slightly. That said, the Four Seasons and Merrion Hotels would be superior in many ways so the price difference... more

A lovely hotel in quite location. Rooms are beautiful, staff friendly, clean, with fantastic facilities. However, if you want a central location this is not the hotel for you. About 15 Euros in a taxi from the city centre. The only other problem with the hotel is the fact that they don't allow you to put anything in the minibar! more

I stayed here for one night while visiting Dublin on business. The hotel came as a pleasent surprise, set in lovely grounds with helpful staff and good food. My room was extremely comefortable, clean with wonderful views over the hotel gardens. The bar offered a vast selection of drinks and quaint setting while the restaurant was unfaultable. I would recommend... more

Beautiful property, 15 minutes outside the city center. i got a great web rate, like US150 a night thru the radisson website. One big problem travellers need to be aware of. If you take the bus from the airport or town, yes, the stop is right in front, but its at the main gate, you need to walk a football... more
