My wife, nephew and I stayed in this hotel on a weekend trip from Cork. The room we got was huge, with a second room for my nephew within the suite. The room was clean bright and airy, with a view onto to street frontage. Breakfast was served in a bustling breakfast roomm - all you could eat. there were... more

It's another average hotel.....Its location is great however there is so much that could be improved in this hotel. I found my room a little dated. The restaurant downstairs serves good food but it's too pricy! The staff is very friendly though. This hotel could do with a little refurb... more

I stayed at the Academy Plaza on 24/6/09 for one night only, booked through an online agent and paid only 19 euros room only, inclusive of taxes!!!!! The hotel was hard to find as I had to ask locals for prper directions. The hotel lurks behind a bigger building that had a huge billbard on it with the street name.... more

I really appreciated all the details that went into the design of the room. The doors, the switches, the fixtures were all things I usually don't notice, but they stood out here. The bed was so comfortable we had trouble getting out of it to see Dublin. The location was great - just off busy O'Connell Street but in a... more

I can't say enough about this beautiful, elegant and yet very affordable hotel! The room was amazing, the hotel restaurants were superb, and the staff under hotel manager Peter Collins was friendly and very helpful. It is on a quiet tree lined street just 150 feet from the heart of town! And there are a million things to do and... more

Our room was small by American standards, but it was huge compared to our other rooms in Europe, and very comfortable. We had a huge, wonderful king size bed, the room was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only problem was how loud the hotel was, and really that is to be expected in any... more

Yes the rooms are small by American standards but we just needed a place to sleep and shower. Was easy to find from the Aircoach stop -- we bought roundtrip tickets from the airport. Easy walk into town from the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. We did decide to purchase the breakfast for the next... more

Excellent location being about 10 mins to temple bar and 5 mins from the main shopping area. The rooms have been recently refurbished and have excellent comfortable beds. Free wi-fi is available. Excellent value for the quality of the rooms. Highly recommended for staying in central Dublin. more
