This hotel is so convenient, right on St Stephen's Green but just far enough away from the various pubs and bars to be fairly quiet, even if your room faces the Green. Be aware that a single room does mean a single bed, and they can be small. The various rooms I have stayed in in the old house sometimes... more

The main strength of this B&B is its location, right opposite the lovely St Stephen’s Green and within a few minutes of Dublin’s main shopping area, LUAS tramline and the tourist attractions at Trinity College and Temple Bar. The building itself is of distinguished appearance and on entering you feel as if you had gone back in time. My room,... more

I can't say enough about the location of Stauntons.Handy for shopping,LUAS trams, business, culture, museums, arts, bars and restaurants.Pretty much everything you need except a tram link to the northside which offers all of the above but at cheaper prices. I've stayed twice and both times it has been worth the bill which is about €80/night.The 1st time was before the holiday season started so... more

Thankfully we only stayed one night at this hotel. The room cost a whopping £117 so we expected something rather nice - unfortunately not the case. The room was in a very bad state, the walls had holes in and the paper was peeling off, the windows and sills were dirty and had paint peeling off them. The plug sockets... more

Nice hotel for a decent price. Central, but quiet location. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage with them until checkin as we arrived at 6 a.m. (Tip: book a room for the night before with an early arrival - much easier.) Room was nice, but hot and windows cannot be opened. Food... more

My dad and I were moved to this hotel from its sister hotel north of the river. We booked two single rooms which were quite small and cosy but did the job. The service was great and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was central and offered a good breakfast to set us up for a day of sightseeing.... more

What do you expect from a budget hotel - somewhere to lay your head, forgetable but fine. Pay peanuts you will not get a palace. GREAT VALUE! As well as an excellent location! more

On previous visits to Dublin I had been struck by the perfect location of Staunton's on the Green and was keen to try it out: it's next to Newman's Church; it faces the most lovely Green; it appears to be out of the busy/noisy throng. Despite the sharply divided experiences of contributors to this site, I thought I'd risk it.... more

Lovely location but that is the end of the recommendation. Room adequate as was breakfast and that's as positive as I can be. My stay fell foul of Dublin's party going culture. Was woken at 3.50 by young ladies next door who decided to continue their celebrations and brought back 2 young gentlemen to help. Reception didn't answer the phone... more

This hotel sells itself as a luxury boutique hotel, ha ! The prices may reflect that but the reality is a 2-3 star guesthouse. The reception is tiny and cramped, with a crowd of guests several people deep waiting patiently to be dealt with by the one receptionist. Unbelievably the bare wooden floor was covered by what looked like pieces... more
