booked 3 rooms for a family get together. Wanted central location at low price and got it. all rooms were poorly furnished - drawers broken etc; ALL showers were plumbed the wrong way and poor pressure. Terrible decorative state but despite this the place was cleanish, but very tired looking. Above a noisy pub but actually we all slept well.... more

My friends arrived in Dublin on Sunday 11th Oct.staying for one week. I helped them with their bags to the room and I was shocked, this tiny room for 3 adults spending a week here. They experienced alot of noise from the bar on one occasion they went down twice to ask to turn the volumn down- later the bar man... more

My husband and I took a leisure trip to Dublin, Ireland and stayed at the Clifton Court Hotel. The pictures and reviews on the hotel website looked ok and the price seemed reasonable. When we arrived the reception was located on the 1st floor and the stairs looked sort of shabby with sagging carpet, not a good start. Our room... more

This hotel is a hovel and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away!! The reception is on the first floor, as we dragged our bags up the stairs our hearts slowly sank. Each step gave a different creak! The reception area was no more than a cupboard, we were given our room on the top floor-no lift. We were presented... more

Hard bed, no hot water, no water pressure at all, it pretty much dribbled out of the showerhead. Food was okay, staff was nice, hotel was pretty run down, but was cheap. If they had had a fairly comfortable bed I could've overlooked everything else. I would have been more comfortable on a rock. But location, location, location... Location is... more

Terrible hotel- does not really deserve this name. Due to the U2 concerts, all hotels were fully booked, we were not expecting much but certainly not this for 140 euros for 1 night. The makeshift nature of the room is best exemplified by the door which was bare and looked more like a boarded up window than a real door.... more

If you want luxury, this is not the place for you. However, if you're ok with an affordable, somewhat shabby place with some flaws but great breakfast, friendly staff and an excellent location, you should try out Clifton Court Hotel. Overall, a positive experience. more

Yes, this is a budget hotel in the center of Dublin and you pretty much get what you pay for. That being said, it does have its good points. My fiancé and I booked 2 non-consecutive nights in this hotel because we were looking for cheap accommodation in the heart of tourist Dublin and we liked the fact that Clifton... more
