i needed to stay in dublin for one night for an exam and stayed at these premises. The first thing..two car parking spaces maybe three..the next the entrance and pub not clean for standards you would require when paying good money..i mean they charge in or around the same as the burlington and that is 4*!!! the bedroom was next..talk about the dark ages with no cleaners having entered for a lonnnnnng time especially in the bathroom..the shower curtain..ahhh!!! I dont have particularly high standards but i mean give me a break...terrible stay uncomfortable and def in the dark ages with no available cleaners!!!! my advice STEER CLEAR...mannerless staff at times too!!!

The Northbrook is a relatively small family run hotel. It is situated in the Ranelagh area and is convenient to the city centre, the RDS and Landsdowne Road rugby grounds. Its location is in a quiet leafy street just behind Christchurch ,Leeson Park. The hotel could probably best be described as "cheap and Cheerful".The rooms are clean and most are en suite, with colour TV.There is a good bar in the basement and in fact it serves one of the best pints of Guinness in Dublin.I found it by accident and have been using it for years now. There are more palacial hotels to be found in Dublin but for value for money this one is hard to beat and with a single room and an excellent breakfast costing £40(punts) per night you cant go wrong. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and some nights there is live traditional music in the bar. There is limited car parking here but there is on street parking in the area.
