Very comfortable and clean room near the city centre of Dublin. The room was bigger and nicer than most hotels we've stayed in with two double beds .Eileen was very helpful both before and during the trip and gave us great advice on local cafes, where to get a leap card and how to get around the local area. A great find for us and will definitely book the Portobello B&B in the future.

I stayed here for a couple of days with my partner and it was a wonderful experience, service and staff went beyond and the location was ideal just a short bus journey from the city centre and very close to Camden street which has loads of lively restaurants and bars, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This is a good value location close enough to be walk if you are healthy 10-30 min depending what you want to see but far enough that the price isn't through the roof. The bus service is good in Dublin with a stop very near the hotel if walking isn't your thing. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Can't review the breakfast, we were out early both mornings and so made other arrangements. I would recommend this B & B.

I spent three nights here with an old school friend in early June. Portobello B&B was everything we could have asked for: a handsome & beautifully furnished Victorian home, cleanliness & comfort and delicious breakfasts. From the B&B it was an easy walk to St Stephens Green, St Patrick’s Cathedral & the restaurants of the lively Camden Street area. Buses from across the road travel to central Dublin & to the airport. Above all, Eileen was a helpful & generous host. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Location south of Dublin center but we enjoy walking so worked for us. Between 1 and 2 miles depending on where you are going. Hostess was extremely accommodating and breakfasts were great. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very small but workable. Bus stop right out front door so took bus from airport. Recommend it.

We’ve just returned from a great weekend at this B and B. Lovely room, very clean, breakfast very good. Nice location with bus stop right outside where you can get a bus to and from the airport every 15 minutes. Friendly hosts too. Would not hesitate to come back here. Highly recommend.

We took a tazi from the airport to Portobello B&B, but there is a busstop in front. Reception by Eileen was very friendly. Room was good, cool in this hot 2018 summer. Breakfast is very good, including eggs to order, smoked salmon, ham, cheeses and jams. Also granola, muesli and such, yoghurts, milk, orange juice and of course tea or coffee. Room is done on a daily basis including clean towels. Bathroom is clean, sufficient with a good shower. The (kingsize) beds are excellent!! Portobello is just a 20 min walk from Trinity college, but busstop in front. When we had to leave at 06.00 for a bustour breakfast was set for us. All in all, excellent stay, the place to be when visiting Dublin.

Located on the south side of town so a bit of a walk to downtown. Nice hostess and good breakfast. Convenient to a Hertz car rental. Make sure your taxi driver knows the street address. We were dropped at the Portobello Hotel. Fortunately not to far away.

Excellent central location on a busy bus route with only short walk to multiple choice of restaurants, pubs and other attractions. Host at Portobello is super friendly and helpful and thoroughly recommend.

We were so pleased that we chose Portobello B&B for our one night in Dublin. We appreciated being able to leave our car there while sightseeing as we were not quite used to driving on the "correct" side of the road. The room was very comfortable with plenty of outlets and cozy beds. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and very filling. I would definitely recommend a stay here!
