Nowadays it's not frequent to pay 42 euro ppn around Europe, but Dublin is above the average. But it's probably below average about hotels comforts! Rooms at the Celtic are very small and old. The bed is noisy and large enough for two thin persons. The bathroom has to refurbished immediately, and there are no shower soaps when you arrive.... more

We stayed one night in Dublin (wish it were more as we liked Dublin). We booked for value and location as primary objectives. Room and bath were small but we came off a 12 day cruise so it did not bother us at all. Staff were great, Gentleman at the front was a hoot....everytime my wife sent me for towels,... more

I stayed here for three nights last week and enjoyed my stay. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is huge, had enough hot water in the shower and the heater kept the room warm even in the cold weather! The only minus points I give to the noice from the street and for the size of the shower... more

We stayed here for four nights and it was really nice. The breakfast was good and we were served quickly everyday. The staff were friendly. The rooms were pretty basic but for the price i am not complaining! The only thing was that the shower was pretty poor and turned cold really quickly. Also some nights were quite noisy as... more

We stayed at the Celtic Lodge in Dublin for two nights, and that was enough. The location was idea for a central position within walking distance of Trinity College, Temple Bar, O'Connell Street and others. Our stay was ok, but there were a couple of problems that will stick in my mind such as noisy nights, cold showers and unmotivated... more

The lodge is in an ideal location for sightseeing and nightlife. It is probably one of the cheapest if not the cheapest central hotel since we did look around and this one came up as being best for value. We got an airport bus to the city centre and easily found the hotel from the directions on the website. The... more

I have stayed here 3 times now and i find it quite a plesent place. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpfull especially the lady on the desk, she was a gem who knew a lot about Dublin. The breakfast was really nice and plenty of it. The only downside i would have is... more

Was not a good experience at all. The room was tiny, the mattress seemed like it was at least 10 years old and worst of all we were in a front room that had no sound proofing what so ever. Free breakfast was average (didnt know traditional Irish breakfasts were microwaved and contained hair) Only thing going for it was... more
