This was our second stay at Eccles Court, in the apartments next door to the hostel. This time we took our son, daughter and their significant others. We each had our own apartment at 70 EURO per night as we stayed one week. Since we were there in 2004, the bathrooms appear to be updated. Hot water whenever we wanted... more

we stayed 4 nights at mt eccles court in a 6bed room - were alone for the first night as well. breakfast is very basic, but included, and there is extra toast if you want. bathrooms are mostly clean, but very basic and could have been renovated better - but that is fine. beds and rooms are good and clean... more

We stayed in this hostel in January 2005 on our little 'Round Trip' including Wales, Dublin and a bit of England. The photos on the website looked ok, the prices were fine so we booked it. For two nights. Our room looked nothing like the rooms in the picture. The staff were not friendly nor were they unfriendly. They were... more

I stayed here with a group of friends for a rugby international weekend. The staff weren't terribly friendly, but they weren't bad either. The room was fine - spacious, but there were a few funny stains on the curtains/bedlinen. Didn't bother us really as we didn't spend much time in the rooms. Shower was much more powerful than expected, although... more

Not a bad place. The location was pretty good. Not the best hostel I've stayed at - SHOWERS ARE HORRIBLE. Other than that, everything was fine. more

Possibly one of the worst hostels on the planet, and I've stayed in some dives! The place is filthy from the carpet to the ceiling. The mattresses look as if they were found in a skip outside a prison. The place hasn't been cleaned in a long long time. The showers are pathetic, and anyone can walk in off the... more

We stayed here in our own room as a couple and the best part about the place was leaving it. Some of the staff are nice but some just stare and frown. The room was filthy and there was mould in the bathroom. When it started raining heavy, our room leaked in the morning. We also had to climb 88... more

we were a group of 19 people, stayed in there for 3 nights if you are looking for a quite quiet place and close to the city centre, this is your place! breakfast is ok , rooms are not too dirty, bathrooms and showers the same people working at the hostal are correct, at times not too helpful but nothing... more

Arriving in Dublin at close to midnight an exceptional Dublin taxi driver dropped me to the door of Mount Eccles Court, and did not charge me extra for having to drive up and down the street looking for the hostel, which was not very clearly advertised. The guy at reception who checked me in gave me a perfunctory overview of... more

We stayed here on our last night in Dublin. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us when needed it. The rooms were very big and clean, with plenty of space to store luggage. The only slight criticism I would have is that the breakfast wasn't really up to much but for the money it... more
