Despite its excellent location and extremely helpful staff, there are much better values in Dublin. more

Having booked on line, before reading the reviews, I was somewhat nervous on our arrival. When we arrived at the Hotel 9.30am, we arrived and asked if we could leave or bags, which was not a problem, in fact the aussie receptionist couldnt have been more helpful, pointing us in the direction of everything. When we returned we checked in... more

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights for business. Location sounds great, slap bang in the heart of Dublin and very reasonable at 49 euro per room per night. Breakfast was 7 euro, which is average for this area but I didn't eat in the hotel. The first downer was that the bar was closed for renovations, so... more

Management response from

The Abbey Hotel and The Abbey Apartments have different owners and are in no way connected Parking in the Abbey Hotel is €10 per night. Access to the Car park is not allowed through the Apartments unless you are a guest of the Abbey Apartments. Unfortunately been based in the centre of Dublin City the noise cannot be helped from...

As hotel locations go, this one is right smack in the middle of numerous stores, cafes, pubs, etc. nicely close to the river and numerous attractions. The downside to the location is our room window wouldn't shut--we only discovered that fact after returning at 10pm and not wanting to bother the staff we slept with it open. Well on a... more

My friend and I stayed at the Abbey in May, never being in Dublin before this hotel was smack in the middle of everything. Couldn't have gotten a better location, or better price. The rooms were spotless, a little out dated, but still very comfortable and the staff was unbelievably helpful. They booked us tours, printed off maps and basically... more

This hotel is in a fantastic spot, close to all public transport and right in the heart of the city. Its under new management which didn't effect us in the slightest. Rooms are comfy and staff are friendly and very helpful. Would stay here if I ever make it back to Dublin. more

A bad start: we book a 2 bedrooms appartment and were given only a 1 bedroom one. We had to find out ourselves while eneterring the flat! Always print your reservation proof! Luckily not all guests had arrived so we were given two rooms in the hotel instead, but we had to insist to obtain some money back. Also when... more

Stayed in room 103 for three nights which my girlfriend booked due to the great location. Room itself was tired but saying that spotlessly clean and exactly what you would expect for the money. However, my stay was spoilt by a clearly broken mattress which meant I hardly got any sleep whatsoever. If this had been replaced we would have... more

The 2 stars of this hotel are the reception staff and location. You really can't beat the location and the coach from the airport drops you off virtually at the top of the street. The hotel is just the other side of river from the main part of town. It's on a street that's quiet during the day but can... more
