An older style HI located approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk east of the city, which offers reasonable accommodation. Check in was swift and reception friendly. Our room was located on the Pease St side so we could hear the evening and morning traffic, which made sleeping a little uncomfortable. The room was very spacious and simply furnished in the standard HI... more

Basics first: Two large double beds and comfortable. A nice quiet room, no road noise. No ar-con - can be hot, it was when I was there. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Bathroom is getting a bit tired, no natural light or air in it. The shower unit drips cold water on your head as you sit in... more

A work colleague & I stayed here a few months back, & about the best you can say is the place is reasonably cheap. The location is really grim & I've since found out that there's a methadone clinic right nearby as well as a half-way house! Great! If only we'd known this beforehand. The room was at least clean,... more

As our stay in the hotel was a few years ago, it may have changed and gotten better since our stay. But i definitely wont be returning eitherway. This hotel was averagely priced, as it was advertised to be in the city centre-aka pierce street. As an irish person, who knows dublin pretty well by now i should have been... more

Whatever the adverts say about the location of this hotel IT IS MUCH TOO FAR AWAY TO WALK ANYWHERE. The location is awful, the breakfast is something beyond bad and so is the waitress service. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to warn others!! The hotel is way over priced and way over rated. more

Holiday Inns tend to be either very good or just mediocre-this hotel falls into the latter category. Dublin is an expensive city but 138 euro advance purchase rate not including breakfast is a bit steep for the quality offered. the entrance foyer is drab and needs updating-it doesn't give a good first impression-the rooms are better but instead of the... more

As a teacher and farmer I can tolerate just about anything but I would not recommend this Holiday Inn unless you run out of options. When we checked in they gave us the keys to the room we had reserved. Then when we entered the room we got a real surprise there was luggage on the bed and someone in... more

The rooms are clean and large with 2 double beds. Slightly too warm and I like the heat. If you open windows it's very noisy as Pearse Street is a busy throughfare! Very good choice of TV channels. Bathrooms was a bit outdated but functional. Very dimly lit! The drink and food dispensers on were very poorly stoked (e.g. one... more

We stayed here on points, and walked to city centre every day - a 10 min walk to Trinity College/Grafton Street. The hotel itself was OK but we found the restaurant to be a bit pricey, including beer. Luckily there is a convenience store right next door, which had pastry and drinks as well as packaged food. The room was... more

If you are visiting for business and don't need to walk to the "sites" then this hotel is ok. But if you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not the place. The complimentary breakfast is terrible. The "hot" food was cold on the buffet and the sliced cheese and meat wasn't kept cold. The water... more
