Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here for my husband’s 30th. The staff were all so friendly and we got to check in early at no extra cost. The rooms were so clean. Water in the room, fresh towels and refreshments daily. I would come back here and stay again. It’s close to everything to which is a bonus. Thank you

We had the most amazing stay here, the bed was extremely comfortable and our room was fabulous and cleaned daily with towels replaced upon request. The facilities are fantastic too! Our stay was absolutely made by the lovely Colin who was so attentive and friendly and welcoming, we looked forward to seeing him and chatting with him everyday and he made our stay an absolute pleasure. We will be returning solely because of him!!

We stayed at this hotel from NYE-4th Jan. We had a very pleasant stay. The staff upon check in were very helpful and friendly. Our room was turned down every day with fresh towels provided, regardless of what time we left the room. The location was fantastic and within walking distance to temple bar or any of the museums and attractions. All in all we enjoyed our stay, although basic it provided us with everything we needed and was very very comfortable. Thank you

We were put in a room that backed onto the hotels bar/restaurant and the walls were so thin! Our sleep was disturbed multiple times each night through out our stay. We heard chairs/tables being dragged across the floor, staff shouting and talking very loudly to each other, doors being slammed A LOT, there was machines going off and this was very loud in our room. The location of this room was appalling, this space had clearly been used to gain more money for the hotel with no thought to how loud and inconsiderate it would be for PAYING customers. Opposite to our room was the entrance for staff members to access the restaurant/kitchen, the doors were constantly slamming open and shut throughout late night/ early hours and then from 5am onwards that same morning. I made the staff aware and asked to be moved, they said they would have a word with the manager on duty that night. Our second night was exactly the same, by this point I had enough, I tried to ring reception from our phone in the room but the line was dead, I got dressed and went down to reception at 1am after being woken up AGAIN for the 2nd time that night, I spoke with the manager and he said there was nothing he could do, I explained that this is unacceptable and I am very unsatisfied after spending a considerable amount of money, we were stuck in a room that was impossible to sleep in. The following morning I complained to the reception staff again, after 2 nights of disturbed sleep. They finally decided to move us on our last night but we were told we needed to drop the key card off and return later that night to collect the key card for the new room. They wouldn’t let us keep the room so we had to leave the hotel and our luggage behind reception and spend money trying to kill time waiting for the room to become available that we paid for and was unavailable all day, so we didn’t have access to a room for a whole day after paying for it. Not one member of staff were willing to help, I contacted booking.com to see if they could help as I was getting no where with the staff at the Maldron and felt as though I was in an impossible situation. Booking.com called the hotel to forward our concerns and see if they could come to an agreement but the receptionist said they was too busy to discuss our concern. Overall this hotel was an horrendous experience and completely ruined our stay, after expressing our concerns the hotel haven’t been in contact and quite frankly do not care about paying guests.

Stuffy room. Musty smelling sheets and bedding. No shampoo or any extra toiletries provided. Not restock of tea or coffee over 3 days. Batteries in remote leaking, so not working. It worked once thy where replaced. No desk as advertised only small glass coffee table, not suitable for work. Room phone not working. In room information is incorrect. Expl: there is a QR code to order breakfast, lunch, dinner to your room or click and collect. They actually will not deliver in the morning. I ordered breakfast, unaware that they no longer deliver in the morning. I waited while working from my room till 11am I then called the reception to be told they don't do it anymore. When I noticed I had been charged for the breakfast I never received I was told it had to go to accounts in order to be refunded. I asked could I use it as credit for lunch and this was refused. He vending machine takes your payment but is not working and wont give the products. The staff are very nice and it is a great location. I think the rooms are too expensive for the lack of extras and smelly bed dressing and we all know dublin is expensive enough. I think they should update their in room service information, phones, bedding furniture, and check the batteries regularly.

Where shall I begin! Upon our arrival we were greeted at the front desk by Helen. She was more than welcoming and extremely friendly. We found our rooms very clean, and beds comfortable. After a pleasant sleep, we made our way to the breakfast/ dining room. This is where we met Colin. This fine, polite and helpful gentleman made our stay 5 star, (more stars if allowed). He was Ireland thru & thru. If we could we would pack him up and take home. He truly is an Irish treasure. He advised us of sites to see, places to to visit. We fell in love with Dublin, and Helen & Colin were our Cupids. Dont pass up the chance to stay at the Maldron Hotel-Pearse street if you visit Dublin. Visitors from Virginia, USA

We used this hotel to attend a show in Bord Gais Energy Theatre. It was perfect for what we needed. We arrived early at around 2 o clock. There was no issue we were given a car park space. We knew in advance there was extra charge for this. We were shown to our room even though it was before 3. It was spotless, modern and very well maintained. We opted not to book food but we did have drinks after the show and the bar staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely use again.
