Stayed here for one night in July '08. Came to Dublin for some quality time together. Rooms are in serious need of decorating, new beds, carpets (well they are if they'e all like the one we stayed in). The bed was the worst we've ever slept in, room was fusty, and there were cigarette burns in the quilt. The bathroom... more

Barry's Hotel was good, but could be a lot better. The bar and reception area was nicely turned out and the people were friendly. However, the rooms were quite run down. One set of curtains were off the wall, the paint-work was chipped and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The walls are VERY thin - we were... more

......this is possibly the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay in - in fact it most definitely was!! Noisy, dirty, not safe or secure (people trying door handles in the early hours!!) - do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else!!!! Loved Dublin, hated Barrys!!!! more

The hotel had some good,as well as, bad points. The reception was fine and the bar was large, reasonably decorated with cheap drinks. The breakfast was limited but adequete. However, as you climbed the stairs the quality declined. We were on the fourth (top) floor and, with no lift, it was quite a struggle with suitcases. The upper floors of... more

This was our first time in Ireland so didn't really know where to stay apart from near to Temple bar. We chose this hotel and were very pleased with it. It was very clean, rooms are a good size, staff were friendly and helpful, and only about 10 minute walk to Temple bar area. It is 5 mins walk to O'connell st.... more

This hotel was a complete dump, and the taxi driver who took us there thought it been closed down. It's not cheap, and don't let anyone tell you differently. They put the 4 of us in one room and charged us each €70 per night for the pleasure. The bathroom was filthy and damp, the shower was broken and bath... more

This hotel was awful, dirty rooms, very cold at night, there is a nightclub directly underneath which every room can hear at night till 3 am. Phone and tv were broken. Bathroom moudly and tiny. We stayed for new year and was very disappointed on the whole. The managers couldn't care less when complaints were made. i wouldn't advise any... more

The rooms were small and the bathroom smaller. But Location Location Location and the price WAS RIGHT! If you don't want to spend a lot, but want to feel safe and still be within walking distance, stay here. There are no extras at all. They have a great bar though that stays open late. The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy,... more

Stayed at this hotel for the Robbie Williams concert and whilst it was convenient for the Croke Park gig that was about the only positive thing I have to report. The hotel itself looks like it hasn't been decorated for many years past and is very drab with worn carpets and creaking floorboards. The rooms have also seen better days.... more
