6 Jul 2009 | Trip type: Family New

Our family (husband and I, and children, ages 10, 7 and 6) visited this hotel on July 4th. We booked a 'Family Room' at a rate of 118 euros. The room was huge. Large double bed for us, single bed and another double camp bed - all very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities, iron, and hairdryer included, as was extra pillows... more

Set within very attractive grounds and building in a leafy suburb of Dublin not too far from the city center, hotel is quite modern inside, and my room was very clean, modern and spacious (and far cushier than what some reviewers have reported). Considering I only paid €50 - which was a special offer - I was most satisfied with... more

Our room only cost 59 euro which was a great price, but I guess this is a sign of the tough economic times. Everything else in the hotel was very expensive, eg 8 euro per night to park the car (this should be free), 5 euro for a pint of Guinness and 13 euro for a fairly meagre-sized breakfast. We... more

We stayed a total of 4 nights (3 on arrival in Dublin and 1 at end of trip) at Bewleys and found it to be a charming hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The only tub in all the places we stayed while in Ireland for 3 weeks. The staff was friendly... more

Buy online, in advance....only 59 Euros a night! The first time we stayed here, we got a big, posh room with a fantastic view. This time, perhaps because we booked the "cheap" rate online.....our room was very basic, not nearly as posh, and was much smaller. It's still very clean, 40 minute ride on Aircoach from the Airport, maybe 20... more

Impressed with hotel for 50euro per night, very clean, staff very helpful. Out of centre costs 1.60euro each way on bus but very good service. Dublin is extremely expensive as are food and drink at this hotel but no more than anywhere else. more

Stopped here while working in Dublin and have to say the hotel was convienient and easy to get to (the aircoach to and from the airport stops right outside and only costs 14 euros for a return trip). The rooms are quite dated (think 1980's syle) and although they have free wired/wireless internet connection they only have a 14" portable... more

Booked this room back in January for the May bankholiday and thought we were getting a bargain at €50 a night for the room but we were mistaken. If we had been going to something on in the RDS, and we stayed here the location would have been ideal, but for city centre socialising, the price of taxis added up... more
