The rooms are small but well decorated with funky wallpaper. Considering the included breakfast, either a continental or full Irish breakfast, this place is a great deal, and the location is hard to beat. I'd definitely stay there again. However, the rooms facing the street are very loud at night, so bring earplugs. It's housed in a lovely old building... more

We stayed two nights here and the location is excellent. It is in easy walking distance of Grafton Street and the Tourist Office. Getting to buses is also only a few blocks away and St. Stephen's Green is about a fifteen minute walk away. For such a good location, the price is very reasonable, however there is a limited staff.... more

The Grafton isn't fancy by any means, but it's a good value for travelers who are interested in stretching their dollar. The rooms are fairly basic and small, but they’re pretty clean and perfect for the casual traveler. The location can’t be beat – you’re right in the middle of Dublin’s tourist district. The staff wasn’t overwhelmingly friendly, but they... more

I booked grafton guesthouse because of a recommendation in Wallpaper Travel Guide Dublin. What an Error! When I arrived from the Airport at 10pm the front door was locked and when I rang the bell no one opened. After a couple of minutes I discovered a handwritten message that I should contact the staff in the Pub on the opposite... more

This hotel's best feature is probably its location: just a few blocks from the Temple Bar area, or Grafton Street or Dublin Castle or public transportation. Plenty of restaurants, coffeeshops and a grocery store are along South Great George's Street itself (where the hotel is). It was very safe. My room was cute, sort of retro mod, with bold wallpaper... more

My expectations for the Guesthouse were that it was an affordable, clean guesthouse located centrally to Dublin. This is exactly what was delivered. The rooms are small- but that is the case with a number of the older guesthouses in the area. The biggest adjustment for me was no air conditioning, so it was a bit hot for sleep, but... more

I read some of the reviews before we arrive in Dublin and was unsure what to expect. This was the end of our two weeks in Ireland. Yes it is on a busy street and YES there are stairs. The building is old and yes a little TLC is need here and there. But I never travel to stay in... more

We stayed here at the end of June and wanted a good base from which to explore Dublin. This was definitely it - really no more than a 10 or 15 minute walk to anything and everything there is to see, or at least to the bus stop that gets you there. The people working were friendly and helpful, and... more

A gem. Short walk to Tourist Info Center, and many other attractions. Surrounded by fabulous restaurants and pubs. Supermarket and shopping arcade on same block. more
