My mom and I stayed at the Charleville Lodge for the first two nights of our week-long holiday in Ireland. It was a good choice and I would stay there again for sure. Lovely space and the lounges are very comfortable. Other guests are families or couples. The lodge itself is clean, comfortable (very comfortable beds with soft duvets!), and... more

This is a lovely B&B a short (10 minute) bus ride to the center of Dublin. It is clean and attractive, and the breakfasts were terrific. We stayed in a family room for 4, and while small, it was very pleasant and well decorated. It is a 20 minute walk to the Jameson factory and local music as well. There... more

My wife and I stayed at the Charleville Lodge 6 years ago on a visit from Australia. Having thoroughly enjoyed our stay at that time, we decided to stay there again on our last visit to Dublin in April 2009. Once again we had a very enjoyable stay, in a most comfortable well appointed room. Breakfasts were memorable, but in... more

A lovely place to stay in Dublin. Very pleasant. The service wasgreat and the rooms were very comfortable. The full Irish breakfast was really nice. It is located slightly further from the city centre than I expected but the bus service is great and only takes a few minutes. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to... more

I have stayed here on business and leisure many times over the last two years and find the hotel to be charming. There is always comp newspapers in the lobby, there is a lovely lounge where you can relax or work on the laptop. Lots of books to browse through. Breakfast is a hearty Full Irish or continental in the... more

Recently stayed here, felt the walk into town was long and sadly not in a particularly nice part of Dublin. Rooms, tired, bit mouldy, dirty in the bathrooms, little things like cracked tiles on floor, tap covers falling off spoilt what could have been a fairly good room. Comfy beds and tasty breakfast though staff seemed rushed off their feet... more

We booked this B&B for two nights as we wanted something near to Croke Park for the rugby. We paid well over the odds but of course everything had gone up for the rugby weekend. (On the web site it said it's 10 minutes walk from Croke Park which is a bit optimistic – it's more like 25 minutes.) The... more

We've just returned from staying at the Charleville Lodge and we would recommend it. We only paid £50 per room per night including breakfast and considering it's only 10 to 15 minutes from Dublin City Centre thats good value. Ok, our room and bathroom were small and it's a little noisy if your in a room facing the road (which... more
