I was going to Dublin for the Bon Jovi concert, and found this hostel on the net. I booked this hostel way back in December, and didn't read the reviews until a few days before we were to go - I have to admit, they scared me, it sounded horrible, but due to the Bon Jovi concert being on, there... more

This is a gorgeous hostel situated in the bustling centre of dublin, close to everything including croke park. I found it cheap, and up to a very high standard. The people who work there try to help in any way they can and were much appreciated. I booked before reading these other reviews but decided on going anyway as i... more

Rubbish, Squalor, don't do it! The worst hostel that I have ever experienced. We were on a lads weekend and would have put up with an extent of hardship, but, this was something else. W/Cs and showers were grim and unusable. We booked in for 3 nights and only stayed for 1! more

As in the title 'what can i say'? Our girly week-end away it was 'diabolical' to say the least. When we got there they tried telling us that the price had gone up, then when we got to our room it was disgusting 'i'm no snob but ...' even though i had to rate it on their scale as 'terrible'it... more

It was our girly weekend away. We were all looking forward to it. We have been to dublin a good few years now. It was St Patricks weekend. We had looked on the internet before we went to see what the Rainbow Hostel looked like, on the net it looked good. We got there and they told us that the... more

My friends and i stayed here for a miserable 3 nights. The staff was very unfriendly from the minute we got there. At one point one of the staff members deliberately threw a copy of the Divinci Code at my friends head and missed by just inches. Not only were the rooms extremely cramped and freezing (there was no door... more

I really don't get it why this hostel is getting good reviews on some sites. I've stayed in over 50 hostels world wide (Australia, new zealand, Italy, Belgium and France) and this one is in my worst top 3. Stayed in a 8 bed dorm. There are no lockers in the hostel and the walls are so thin you hear... more

I really enjoyed my stay in the rainbow hostel. i found the staff to be really friendly and helpful and basically we felt so comfortable there because of them we stayed on for a few days longer, it was like a home away from home. The rooms were clean and quite considering you have to share with others and the... more
