Paddy's Palace- if you're looking for an injection of personality and fun, then I highly recommend this hostel. The place itself is really friendly- it's no cliche, the Irish really are the friendliest people and this is showcased pretty nicely here. Rooms are basic but clean and amenities are functional. It's not 5 star but neither are the prices and... more

Had a ball at Paddy's Palace - great staff, great location. Was working out of Dublin for 3 months and stayed almost every weekend at Paddy's. Would recommend to any travellers, solo or in a group. Has a great atmosphere and reasonably priced too! more

I really enjoyed my tour of Ireland with Paddywagon tours and hostels. It was fun and affordable. The tour guide, Connor, really knew Ireland and filled us in on all of the details that we didn't know about the Emerald Isle. If you want to visit Ireland, Paddywagon is the way to go. more

I thought Paddys was great - the staff were really friendly and helpful, even at 7am when I left for my tour! Tour itself was great Breakfast was umlimited, showers were clean and smelt nice, the toilets were clean too. Would defiantely stay here again for the €15.00 a night! more

I can't really make up my mind about my stay here. Bad Points: Our room was really close to a train track so all we could hear all night was that and ended up having to buy ear plus so we could sleep, bathrooms weren't the cleanest and one of the bunk beds in our room had blood or something... more

We stayed at Paddy's after not finding room at several other hostels, and I think we should have kept looking. We had a private room that was tiny, just barely fit the bunk beds and sink. The bathroom needed cleaning and the water in the shower shut off automatically every few minutes. Breakfast consisted of cereal and toast. We paid... more

I am sure it is not the case of all the rooms, but I was put in a room on the bottom level of the building next door and the top bunk had around a metre between it and the ceiling (I am sooo glad that wasn't my bed, quite claustrophobic and would have slept on the floor instead). But... more

we recently stayed in paddy's palace during a short trip to dublin, and were astounded with how good we found it. following reading the very negative reviews of this hostel we were anxious as to what we would find, but were greeted by clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, an excellent common room area and a brilliant city centre location. the... more

I spent one night here after completing a weeklong tour of Ireland (NOT through Paddywagon tours, just for the record). Of all the hostels I'd stayed in throughout my Irish week, this one turned out to be the least enjoyable by far. The one positive was that I thought the rooms were quite spacious. Spacious - but stuffy, obsolete and... more
