I was surprised by the previous negative comments. This is my second stay at the Citywest and on both occassions I have had a very good experience. We arrived late after travelling and were greeted with a friendly smile. The check-in procedure was painless enough. The Citywest is a big hotel but the walk to the room was worth it.... more
Stayed here on a Golf trip the hotel is massive, however service was good as was the breakfast. The bar has a lively atmosphere and Jacobs Inn is just up the road if you want to go elsewhere. Dublin is 70 euro return. The two golf course have excellent greens and dont be put off by the relatively short yardage... more
My wife and I stayed here on 17th August for 3 nights. We were impressed immediately by the friendliness and helpfulness of the check in staff. We were given non smoking rooms and when we asked to change to smoking rooms they did it for us immeduately and had the keys ready when we got back to reception. The room... more
On booking in we were very lucky to be looked after by a receptionist called Wendy. She was so helpful and friendly and really got our break off to a great start. We had stayed in this Hotel on many occasions, and as usual we found it to be excellent. more
Stayed here for the Martina McBride concert. I wasn't expecting much after reading some of the reviews. Check-in wasn't the best as the two front desk assistants didn't acknowledge us on approach and arrival at the desk, it took about 20 seconds for them to lift their heads (one of them was a supervisor). I am seven months pregnant and stayed in a superior room with my husband and two and half year old. The room was fantastic great price, jacuzzi bath, King Size bed and lovely old fashioned furniture. I am not sure what all those begruding reviews are about but i the hotel was packed so i think those who know this... more
