What Attracted us was the web write up , New Refurbished Rooms etc , on Arrival we were met by a lady who took full payment for our 3 Nights to never be seen again , on entering the room very untidy and the bathroom was dirty and the walls were full of damp , and it got worse the... more

We needed a place for a quick rest just before getting on the ferry and found a discounted room at Donnybrook Lodge for 30 euros (discounted from 56 euros). We thought it would be fine for the night even though it was poorly rated. But the place was just beyond imagination... The presentation of the hotel on the website is... more

In fact, this was the only B&B that we stayed in that I would give a very poor rating. The hostess asked for complete payment for two nights upon our arrival (family of 3). That is the last time she was to be seen in our two day stay. If we had seen the room before payment we would never... more

Fawlty Towers didn't have a look in! Sausage egg and beans for breakfast EVERY morning, we were looked at with disgust if we mentioned bacon. The toast was regularly burnt and you could hear them scaping it off before they brought it out, the place would have fallen apart if it was to receive a good clean! One bath towel... more

I really don't understand why the most part of the opinions are so bad. Did you check the prices of other places in Dublin?! Of course it is not a 5 stars hotel!! In my opinion, the place was perfect: 1. The sheets were clean 2. The TV worked properly (although it is not very important if you are interested... more

absolutly disapointed!!!!! I've booked the room on the internet a month and a half before hand, I rang 2 weeks in advance to make sure the room was booked..so everything was fine.. when I arrived I discovered that the room was tiny, just enough space for the double bed, that was not what I expected, so with the help of... more

The hotel was very basic and a bit over priced. The breakfast was not great. Unfortunatly our stay was ruined as there were other guests that were being very loud, in room opposite ours, until 5 in the morning. Im sure we are not the only ones that were very annoyed by this! The location however was good. All in... more

I cannot confirm the other reviews, it's a nice place to stay, not cheap, but not overpriced, the food was okay, service as well, room clean, people are friendly and willing to help you, everything you expect for a 3 star hotel. It was my second time there within one year and i see more improvements like free internet usage... more
