Stayed in this hotel with boyfriend for weekend. Would def recommend it, was perfect from start to finish. Reception and bedrooms are fab, really modern. Breakfast was lovely, all you can eat. Dinner in the thai restaurant was fab even tho neither of us were thai food lovers. Great atmosphere and staff really friendly. Was so handy to get to,... more

We booked the hotel based on a Google map, which showed it as being in the city centre. Afterwards, we found out that it is on the south side of Dublin, which is good if you want to miss the mayhem of their traffic system. The hotel has the external appearance of an office block, but the inside has a... more

It is a new, trendy boutique hotel. The rooms are big enough and have a nice decoration. The restaurant is good and the lobby looks fine. This is were all good aspects end. The problem is that the hotel doesn't have enough infrastructure and the personnel is not qualified to handle the property. The first night we were there the... more

Lovely hotel. The rooms and bathroom are huge! We stayed on Valentine's night and had a 3 course set menu for €45 in the My Thai restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. more

Beautiful hotel, nice decor, lift is amazing, lovely bar, great music, big room, comfy bed... It is right hotel for good night out...not for business and tourists as it is a bit far from city centre...But come on...you can check the location before you book it... We parked in the wrong parking zone, so we had to pay for the... more

From the time I arrived when they couldn't find my reservation I found the experience to be sub-standard. The reception is dimly lit which just gives the impression that they have had an electricity cut and are operating on emergency lighting. The room was well decorated but cold - the heating system did not work. In addition the toilet kept... more

Stayed at the Beacon last week on business and I must warn everyone, give it a miss. It is in the middle of nowhere and a taxi is an arm and a leg. Sixty euro from the airport and Twenty five from the city center. The decor was original but way over board. A bed in the middle of the... more

Stayed here while on business at nearby industrial estate recently. Slightly odd feeling to the hotel - trying much too hard for the location, but it does the job Positive points: v. comfortable bed, nice bathroom with big shower and bath and nice towels and linen, free broadband (only just introduced the week I stayed), reasonable entertainment package on the... more

I've stayed here a couple of times. Location isn't good for tourists but ideal if you're wanting to go to dundrum shopping centre or a concert in Marlay park. Lobby and rooms are amazing. Bed comfortable. Loved the proper hairdryer, not one of those small powerless ones in the bathroom you normally get in a hotel. Comfy bathrobes too. Restaurant... more

What I mean by the title is that it is a nice hotel but the location is not great unless you have reason to want to stay on the edge of the Sandyford Industrial Estate, in which case it is a good location. The hotel is right on the edge of the industrial estate. We arrived on a wet sunday... more
