Stayed at the Azalea Lodge 3 nights in December and was completely pleased with the accommodations, considered it to be an excellent value, and the hosts were delightful and extremely helpful with directions, etc. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were clean and spacious. Location was very hand and we walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch one day and spent some... more

The breakfast was amazing and we were lucky enough to have pancakes one morning. The rooms were big, clean and cosy. Unfortunately our mattress was too hard ro be comfortable and the double glazed windows didn't seem to be properly sealed, the constant traffic was just as loud with the windows shut. Limited on street parking, but I suppose that... more

Bernadette offers a warm welcome to those lucky enough to stay at the Azalea Lodge. She greeted us with a hot pot of tea with scones and friendly conversation. The flowers inside and outside the home were gorgeous and the home was decorated with warm furnishings. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts were out of this world delicious! more

We found this to be an excellent value for our stay in Dublin. The hosts, Bernadette and Padraig went above and beyond in assisting us. They had bus info ready, and Padraig stayed up late and welcomed us upon our late night arrival. At 11:30 pm, we arrived weary from long, confused travels--Padraig kindly offered us refreshments. The breakfasts were... more

Azalea Lodge was our last stay prior to heading home to the USA. We booked our accommodations after reading several great reviews but our experience was anything but that. The hosts never had any conversation with us regarding the area or sights, restaurants etc. The first day there the livingroom/breakfast area was closed off so just sitting for a bit... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Azalea Lodge. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were delicious. We found the hostess and host especially helpful and friendly. The B&B is on a fairly busy street, but the room was quiet. There is a bus stop very close to the entrance, which made getting into the downtown area very convenient... more

We used Azalea Lodge for a base as we spent four days in Dublin seeing the local sights in addition to a day trip to Newgrange and Knowth. My favorite was the lovely full breakfast of so many options including fresh homemade pancakes (as light as crepes) and succulent fruit salad with the best ingredients. Fabulous!!! The room was spacious... more

When Bernadette offered to drive me to "Swift Care" for medical treatment of an injury I suffered hiking on the Wicklow Way, I knew we selected the right place to stay for our 4 days in Dublin. Azelea deserves the #1 Rating as far as we are concerned. Caring and welcoming hosts, clean, quiet room, fine breakfasts, great location. more

We had a great time at the Azalea Lodge in Dubln. We felt it was by far the best B&B we stayed at in Ireland during the 10 day trip we made. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left two days later Bernadette and Padraig Sweeney were great hosts. Went out of their way to be sure... more
