We stayed here for 2 nights during a September vacation and found the hotel to be an excellent value for enjoying what Dublin had to offer. The room, while a little on the smallish side, was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The location was the best part about this hotel -- you could walk to most of... more

We stayed here for 1 night just to see Dublin, and I have no complaints. Rooms were very nice and tidy. My only complaint was after talking to my boyfriends brother who is a cop, who said someone had been stabbed across the street just a few days before we checked in. Obviously nobody could break into the hotel, but... more

Spent 3 nights here. Handy for the town centre and the Gaiety theatre (2 mins walk). Only major problem was the lack of light bulbs. I reported the fact that 2 out of 3 bathroom bulbs were broken several times, and left a note on the bed, but they were never replaced during our stay. Then a bedside light bulb... more

My daughter and i stayed at the mercer last week and were very pleased! after reading the other reveiws i was a bit doubtful about it but the reveiws were very wrong in my opinion!! Just off Grafton street, it is very central for shopping and sightseeing. the staff were friendly, pleasant and eager to help and the breakfast was... more

Having read previous reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive but we had no complaints whatsoever. The rooms were very clean and well equipped (the fridge is a really good idea), the staff helfpul and friendly, the breakfasts plentiful and good - overall, it wasn't anything like the reviews, and we were looking out for problems! I would have no hesitation in... more

We stayed here because we were in town for a graduation nearby. While the room size was OK, the bed comfortable, the continental breakfast adequate with a nice bar/lounge, those were overshadowed by the poor plumbing and the most disgustingly dirty hotel carpeting I've ever seen in all my travels. It's hard to believe the health department hasn't shut them... more

Myself and a few friends stayed at the hotel for one night and that was enough! On arrival at 3,we were waiting 20 mins before we got a room, the carpet on the stairs was shabby and stained, the room was old fashioned and dated as was the bathroom. The kettle was dirty and the cups were no better...breakfast the next mornin was... more

The hotel was good, location excellent, but... if you pay a deposit for the reservation with a card, make sure you give a "credit" card not a "debit" one. The reservation sheet shows no notice and the hotel staff does not inform you, but they make a pre-authorization of credit of the total amount of the hotel bill on your... more

My wife and I stayed at the Mercer Hotel for Valentine's Day weekend. We choose it because we wanted a central location for such a short trip. The location was fabulous but we ran into some problems and probably wouldn't stay there again. The good news: The hotel is across from H&M next to St Stephen's mall, just off of... more

The good location is the reason we stayed at the Mercer and not ever having been to Dublin we didn't know what to expect. The breakfast was okay and considering the rate of the room I suppose it was good deal, but the beds were terrible. It was like sleeping on 2 box springs, our friends were with us and... more
