This hotel was attractive, clean, elegant and full of helpful and friendly staff. We bought three nights for the price of two (available online) for a first-time trip to Dublin and can honestly say that for the price we paid we could not have asked for anything better. Superb value and at a pleasant 15 minute walk from the city... more

We had a terrific stay at the Grand Canal. First of all, I had stupidly messed up our reservations but the assistant manager went out of her way to straighten everything out for us. To me, the rooms are gorgeous - simply but attractively decorated with bright colors and lots of natural wood. Everything was sparkling clean. Rooms are spacious... more

Fabulous hotel i couldnt find fault with it at all. We stayed in April when we went to the Pink Concert. I had never drove in Dublin city center before, so was unsure about where i was going. Friendly ,helpful, clean. The restuarant food is great ,as is the breakfast. I liked this hotel as it was away from all the noise of the city. The walk is not so bad. Or you can just get a taxi for 8eu to the city. The Irish taxi drivers are very friendly and informative, make sure they are Irish though! The... more

The rooms were clean and comfortable and for a metro hotel, this hotel exceeded expectations! But who really spends time in a city hotel? Its all about location, location, location... this hotel is approx. 25 minutes walk to the O'Connell Statue on O'Connell Street, and 20 minutes to Trinity College. We walked the route many times but I recommend catching... more

3 years and now 7 visits. I stay in 12 hotels a year and this is my favourite. We have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that are not as good as this one. You are made to feel special and the hotel staff stay the same, which in my book is a good sign. I can't comment on... more

My room was clean, a great size, comfy and I felt very safe! They have a lift...yea!!! Overall, the hotel staff was very pleasant. They have a computer in the lobby you can use. The only fault I have with that is, it cost 1euro for 8 mins....WAY to pricey!!!! You can get 20 mins in the UK for 1... more

We chose this hotel following having read fantastic reviews on this site. We were right to follow them as this hotel was great! We found a good deal for room rates and were not disappointed upon arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great as it is a short walk to the city centre (15 minutes... more
