We have just returned from three nights at the Kildare Street Hotel (formerly the Earl of Kildare Hotel), and were delighted in every way by the experience. From the moment we entered the hotel, the charming and attentive staff went above and beyond to make our stay in Dublin a wonderful experience. We arrived late at night, and were welcomed... more

We paid 140 euros a night for a twin room. For that we got a broken tv, no tea/coffee facilities, cold room, cold shower and noise from club below. Good location but that is all more

There were several glitches: in the bathroom (loose tiles on the walls, shower curtain, no air exhaust). The heating was a bit just (only 1 electric heater for a duplex room [2 large beds + 2 single beds]), a few stains on the carpets. There's a pub/inn on the base floor so it can be noisy on Saturday evenings (other... more

We booked our room throu phone with the excellent receptionist Cathrine. While having read and not seen any photos and also heard the resturant had to close a while ago, I expected the absolute worst. When arriving we were very glad and suprised it was the opposite. Check-in was swift and Cathrine the receptionist was very kind and polite. Our... more

Window wouldn't open, bed was hard, dirty and broken shower, dirty carpet and stains on towels! The rooms need redecorating and a good clean. I wouldn't go back. more

We loved this hotel! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly (especially 'Bill' the night porter) and went right out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. This hotel is very central and within walking distance to Temple Bar and other attractions. The open top tourist bus stops right outside to take you on a tour of the city... more

Room was ok if a bit dated and small but the huge single-glazed window was really unfortunate as the draft from that and the bathroom made it more like a freezer than a hotel room. Extremely cold! Bathroom very cold and very grimy-showering was not pleasant at all. Was willing to put up with it because of the price but... more

This hotel in my opinion was not very nice - it was more like a hostel. The minute i walked in the door to book in- the music was blasting and i couldn't hear the receptionist properly - She was very nice but i dont know how she can work there with that noise. The room was filty, the roof... more
