The hotel is small and charming and the staff is so friendly that it feels like you're staying at a friends house. No problem borrowing adapter for the outles socket and when they heard that we were leaving early, they made us breakfast before the breakfast hours started. The rooms are nice, clean and at this price range it's great.... more

We arrived already at 11 in the morning at the hotel and were fortunate to get our room already at that time even though check in is first at 2 in the afternoon. Smiling Sylvia checked us in and gave us lots of useful information (which she continued doing throughout our stay) and let us on our way to the... more

This was our fifth visit in Amberley House, and it was as good as our first, second and every single one. The rooms are charming, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is great with full Irish traditional option for me and continental vary for my wife. But what is the best about the house is its manager Sylwia. She is very... more

I stayed in Amberley house with 3 friend in august. We were on holiday, and it is such nice place! First of all it's clean (towels were changed every day!), the staff it's absolutely nice and kind! The night guy even made us tea as we couldn'f find a kettle! Then, breakfast is great, you can have so many things... more

We had to go up to Dublin for a 50 Birthday part & book into Amberley. We got a room in the new section. Very modern, not what we expected I've stayed in other B& B's on Gardiner Street, but this was the nicest, more like a hotel room, rather than a B & B. We got a good deal... more

We chose this B&B because of the good comments on most of the webpages.. I agree with most of them.! Suprisingly on trip advisor they have not so good reviews but we discover that guesthouse is under new managment from few months and starts getting good rates since then.! Amberley is conveniently located about 5 mins walk to the centre.... more

We booked Amberley House based on three things; positive character, price, and location. Overall it was worth it. We were early for checkin by a couple hours and our double room wasn't ready so they upgraded us to a suite, so we were off to a very good start! The suite was superb, very spacious and very nice. Overall we... more

Me and my boyfriend both in our 20's have just returned home from 4 days in Dublin. We stayed at the Amberley House B&B on Gardiner Street-just around the corner from O'Connell Street and many of Dublin's attractions. We arrived late in the evening, and the gentleman behind reception was very friendly-explained where to find everything and offered to help... more

The best that can be said is that the bed and bathroom were clean! The 'wardrobe' was a wooden pole in a small alcove next to the window. The hairdryer was wall mounted but the cable did not reach the socket on the opposite wall, not that I would have used it as the heatine elements were bare! The dressing... more

16 Apr 2008 | Trip type: Family

I expected something like the room shown in the picture, but our family was led to a dark dungeon-like basement room with rickety spongey beds. Our view consisted of people's feet walking by on the sidewalk but through the bars we could also enjoy some ancient trash: condoms and cigarette butts. We found another place and our room rate for... more
