Booked this hotel as part of a surprise birthday trip to Dublin for the other half. Website makes it look rather splendid but have to say we found the rooms a little tired. Downstairs reception is very nice (as seen on their website) and our room was fairly spacious but the decor definitely hasn't been touched up in a long... more

Stayed at this hotel for one night in June 2008. Booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the RDS. The hotel is literally a two minute walk to the RDS which was fantastic. The hotel itself has a bar “The Dubliner” which serves food all day long with a Café in the foyer and a juice bar.... more

well where do i start, we stayed 2 nights, the room was clean enough but lots of things broken in the room, hairdryer, tv remote, electrical plug etc, shower was confusing to work, you either had to have a cold or hot shower. No tea/coffee facilites in room either, Staff were friendly and helpful, when we asked to change rooms... more

We stayed here for two night in June and it was absolutely fine, considering the cost. Good location, it you like a walk it easy to walk to town, otherwise less than 10 euro taxi. Its not in the first flush of youth, but if you need a bed and aren't expecting 5 star, this will suit most people. more

We found it a 20 - 25 minute walk from the town centre but when we were told of the Dart which leaves Connolly Station (town centre) which takes you to Landsdowne Road Station it was much better as this was only 5 minutes walk from the Ballsbridge Inn. The hotel staff were very nice and the rooms were sufficient.... more

Having stayed at the Ballsbridge Inn when it was a Jury's and loved it, we were apprehensive after reading the negative comments on this site. However, I'm pleased to say that we need not have worried. The rooms are still spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had a very good and reasonably priced meal in the Dubliner pub attached to... more

This hotel was booked as a last minute thing for st patricks weekend. It was just myself and a friend. We were worried at first as we presumed that as it was cheaper and not fully booked (like others in the area) It would be a load of rubbish! The other hotels we looked at closer to T-B had awful... more

We booked the room here as it was the closest hotel we could find that wasn't booked out for the podge and rodge show in vicar st. Was a bit iffy about the outside appearance but as soon as we entered it reminded me of a 5 star hotel we had stayed in, in barcelona. The staff we're excellently mannered... more

We booked a family room in the Ballsbridge Inn for two nights early May 2008. I was a bit hesitant to do so after reading the mixed reviews on this site... However, I'm glad to say that it was the right thing to do! We paid 99EUR/night (stayed two nights) for a family room - the room itself was very... more

I booked this hotel after having searched on the internet for hours to find a reasonably priced hotel in Dublin. Dublin is so expensive to stay in the centre and we felt this was the best compromise. It was very good value for money compared to the other hotels in the area. Good things - Friendly efficient staff, large clean... more
