The Ferryman is situated just outside the bus routes, so had to walk which took about 10mins to get there could easily have got a taxi. Although the rooms are basic had a very pleasant stay. Road works until next year, but did not get much interference. very hot water, showers great. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Room... more

We've stayed at the Ferryman at least a dozen times over the last decade. The owners are the nicest family, and they always make everyone feel so welcome. There's no better pub in the world to enjoy good company and conversation, not just with your own party but with "the locals" as well. The B & B accommodations are basic... more

Chose the Ferryman for Location and the fact that it had rooms with three single beds. The city centre was in walking distance, so easy for sightseeing, but no other pubs close by, so had to get a taxi back from Temple Bar each evening. The pub itself was fantastic, a real welcoming atmosphere with live music and a brilliant... more

We arrived at the Ferryman at 11am, asked if we could leave our bags till the checking time, greeted by a friendly helpful face who arranged our check in there and then. Was on top floor, pleasant clean room with really comfortable beds, just what you need after a days sightseeing. Breakfast was cereal, juice and Irish breakfast, tea/coffee really... more

My room was quite simple yet very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was generous. Definitely liked the location, it was a pleasant walk to Grafton Street, Temple Bar and the rail station. Staff was very friendly and helpful! I would absolutely stay there again. more

Generally the staff were helpful and friendly but the hotel/pub was a bit disappointing. The room we had, overlooking the Liffey and endless construction work just outside, was basic and scruffy - not really dirty, just drab. The sealing around the shower base was discoloured, and the whole thing in need of replacement; there was no plug in the washbasin,... more

We were looking for a reasonable place to stay that was south of the river. We were lucky enough to fine a room at the Ferryman. We took the Dublin Bus from the airport into the city. The closest stop to the Ferryman is Tara Street Station. If you have a tom of baggage you might want to take a... more

Ferryman made our first trp to Dublin a great experience, we met a drunk Irish local called Desmond on our first night in the bar downstairs, very funny indeed and the staff are fantastic. Amazing breakfast everyday server with a smile, perfect location, nice, clean and quiet rooms! better than some of the 4 stars I have stayed in other... more

Had an awesome time at the Ferryman. The rooms were impeccable and met my very high standards. It was also a bonus that the hotel was in close proximity and a picturesque 5 minute walk by the river liffey to the city centre. It is a very well run hotel with friendly staff who were very helpful at pointing out... more

I would recommend The Ferryman to anyone. It was so close to the city centre,so everywhere was easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and most helpful and we had a great time in the bar. I stayed with a group of friends for a fun weekend, but would find it suitable for a romantic getaway also and I'll definitely be... more
