Outdated scruffy rooms with wash basin in bedroom. Smoke alarms hanging off ceilings with no batteries fitted. tried charging us 120 euros for night instead of the 90 agreed with internet booking. If this hotel is 3 star the tourist board need to take a good look at their criteria more

OK hotel but almost everything felt rather outmoded (except a small flat screen TV in the room and Wi-Fi on ground floor). I thought it was quite charming with the old style furnishing, fitted carpets and winding stairways. The room was clean but run-down. The pub on ground floor was nice. This hotel is small, comfortable, and perfectly welcoming. The room was clean and attractive, the staff friendly and courteous. As I'm Irish myself, I felt proud to know that tourists are getting a proper Irish welcome in Salthill at least. This is a place to take it easy.
