Stayed in Sept, If your used to travelling then this place is not for you. Everything about the accomodation was tackey and gaudy, I suppose you get what you pay for. One of the big advantages of this B and B is its proximity to all the Galway City attractions. Just a short attractibve walk will take you into the main shopping area or the Latin Quarter. Galway abounds with eating places and live music. At the Forge House you will enjoy a pleasant authentic atmosphere and good food. more
Good location: outside busy and noisy city center, but a very close and pretty walk away. Clean and pretty room, but the bathroom and shower were placed inconveniently. The Forge House was indeed very nice! We stayed 2 nights in early September 08 - and did perfectly fine with no car. My husband and I stayed at a lovely B&B in Galway city recently. The hosts Dolores and Bernard were very friendly and hospitable. The Forge House is centrally located and close to all amenities.
