we spent 2 nights in the hotel last weekend. tthe reason we choosed this hotel is that we are used to their hotel in Dublin and found the Ibis galway one the cheapest in town for the weekend. we paid 52€ a double room per night via their website special offer. do not expect a high tech designer/boutique hotel, Ibis... more
Definately would NOT recommend staying here. Completely over priced and totally not worth it. Hotel is extremely shabby. Elevator was really noisy, could hear it all night. Breakfast was awful. more
Not sure I know where to start with what is not only the worst hotel exeprience of my life but possibly the worst customer service too. During our stay for 3 nights we had to change our magnetic key card for our door 3 times, another couple in our party had to change theirs twice as well. The reception, in... more
Although on the ringroad, this hotel is not far from the town and a short Bus fare or taxi is not a problem. Checked in on a busy weekend having booked and was given a room that on entering smelled musty as if it had not been used for a while. Was surpised how noisy it was so went to... more
I booked this hotel because I couldn't find anything centrally located in Galway for my price range. I wanted to write that my... more
Stayed 2 nights, good value and plenty to choose from the buffet breakfast. Rooms clean and spacoius. The only problem was that it was a good 20 minute walk to the town centre but as I was needing the exercise I didn't mind but got taxis back Taxi to the centre was about 5 euro and airport about 10 -... more
Ibis Galway is the typical Ibis chain hotel but room was much larger than usual at Ibis. Hotel is easy accessible by car as it is near a main street, and a car parking is available for free. Crew is kind and professional; we asked for a double room but we get a twin room: immediately went back to the... more
We needed somewhere to crash out and there was no point in spending a fortune so we booked in. The reception area is tiled and quite "motorway services" type. The room was fine, although the bed was very low but it was still comfy and the sheets were good quality. The bathroom was very small and with poor light (difficult... more
My husband & I along with our two young children stayed in the Ibis for one night. The room was clean with two double beds and a great power shower....great for passing through Galway for a night. The worst part of the hotel is the OUTSIDE NOISE as the hotel is located beside a major passageway....it sounded like the Daytona... more
