I've been back to the westwood hotel recently and it still seems to keep a very high standard inspite of a struggling industry. The hotel itself is full of character and warmth..and there's an real relaxing feel to the place.. Although not as convenient as the downtown hotels, the Westwood has free parking and a 4 star rating. It's a 15 minute walk to the downtown. The room was large with comfortable beds and free wi fi. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of good choices. more
Choose the Westwood House Hotel (Friday night madness package) to stay in with my daughter prior to our visit to the university's open day on the Sat. It was a great choice. Myself, husband and young baby have just returned from a fantastic trip in the Westwood hotel. Galway has a lovely old centre, but sprawling outskirts of retailparks and industrial estates. Unfortunately, this hotel is slightly too far out to walk in and out of the old part of Galway, if you are planning on spending the evening there. stayed recently for a family wedding what can i say the biggest compliment i can give this amazing hotel from staff too rooms and food and how clean the hotel is my wife didnt complain once about anything and believe me that says alot thank you westwood staff for a great weekend again and hope too stay soon again more
