What's wrong with some of you out there, have you no sense of adventure? (-: We arrived in the rain. Luckily the outer fascade of O Deas is so distintive in both colour and form that I realised we had found it as soon as I saw a mere sliver of it. So have a good look at the pictures... more

I didn't stay in O'Deas however on a long drive recently my family and I stopped off for lunch. The staff and in particular the bar man who doubled as the waiter was the rudest man I've ever had the misfortune to come across. The food was horrible and not worth the 30 minutes wait for. The hotel is shabby... more

stayed there (was known as the Railway Hotel)in 63 & 1968. had a wonderful time and hoped for the same in 08. I waited for 25 min. at the reception desk and was told every 3-4 min. that they'd be with me in just a min. After 25 min. i figured that they really didn't want my business, so i... more

We needed to stay in Loughrea town centre for one night only, and all web searches yielded only one option... O'Dea's. I read the mixed reviews and they seemed to go from one extreme to the other. Given that we just needed a clean place to stay from about 4PM on arrival, a good night's rest, breakfast and a quick... more

This hotel is filthy dirty and the staff do not just give bad 'service', but are down right hostile. The cups in my room, for example, supplied for tea and coffe were filthy, and the bed had a very strong unpleasant smell when I slept in it. Be careful if you make an on-line booking, through an agent, the person... more

Let me statrt off by saying that this was our first trip to Ireland and Odea's. However, there were other people from the states who have stayed at Odea's, 3, 4, 10 and 12 times over the years. That right there says that this is a fine place to stay. We stayed there from Nov20 thru Nov26 , 2006 for... more

I always consult TripAdvisor before booking a room and I value the advise. Which is why I'm so surprised that people actually liked this hotel. It was the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Our room was filthy! The whole hotel is very worn, but that can be ok, if it's clean. The room was not clean. The bathroom was... more

O'Deas is like a home away from home. I have been staying here each January for over 20 years. The owner and her staff treat each guest like family. The service is good, and the meals are great. The staff are very helpful in suggesting and assisting with travel plans, to assure that you get the true "Ireland" experience. It... more

I have been coming to Loughrea for about ten years, and I wouldn't trade O'Dea's for another hotel, or B&B, for that matter. I usually stay for a week at the time.I think the staff is warm and welcoming and always does their utmost to help you in every way. I strongly recommend anyone to go and see for themselves. Last weekend we had the misfortune of staying in this "Guest House" ( this term is user loosly ) . The night club went on until 3.30 am The heating in the room was broken and there was no hot water, when we asked why this was we wee told that other guests must have used it all. The recptionest... more
