Stayed here for 5 nights in a double ensuite room. first night stayed in one of the apartments around the corner from the hostel which was bigger and would recommend this if available to you. Also it was quieter than staying in the hostel building. Overall, the 5 day stay (during bank holiday weekend) was fairly quiet in terms of... more

Good location, car parking as per previous review - 2 blocks away, but suitable enough. Shared a four bed room with my family - ensuite. Push button timed shower - not a problem as such, but annoying if you want to wash your hair (soap in eyes)! Wireless interent available in some rooms, but also computer room and common room.... more

This is a bustling hostel in the busy section of the city. Around the corner from Sleepzone are a couple blocks of apartments populated by mostly young people. Which translates into noisy partying at night. Fortunatly they knocked off by midnight, which was a blessing. The hostel itself was as quiet as you could expect from a busy place. Parking... more

We stayed in a private double with a shared bathroom in June. For the price, it was pretty good - clean, big room, helpful staff. The only downside was that it was VERY easy to hear other travelers from inside our room (you could hear every footstep on the above floor) Location was pretty good. Breakfast was toast and jam...... more

I will explain the good points of this place firstly before getting on to the bad points - a lot of which may not bother the average hostelling traveller. This is in a excellent location close to all of the action in galway city. It is very clean and they have a computer area which has free access to the... more

I had a private double in the buildings across the street. Clean, bright simple decor, sunny, and the bathrooms were refurbished and cleaner than many hotels I've been to. Laundry, refrigerator, kitchen facilities on the ground floor. The outside door and your own room locks so I didn't think safety was an issue. Toast and juice in the main hostel... more

I stayed in a private room (2 other rooms in an 'apartment', with a shared bathroom). Overall, the apartment was clean. I guess I was also lucky to have neat 'flatmates'. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave oven and washer. The bathroom was big. The breakfast is pretty basic (juice, jam and toast). After all, it is a hostel. Internet... more

We stayed in a twin room with private ensuite and it exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds. Because it was February we only had to pay 22 Euros each, such a bargain considering we paid the same price for a closet-sized private room with bunkbeds in Strandhill the night before. After reading mainly positive reviews online, we felt that... more

Having stayed in Sleepzone many times a couple of years ago, I was looking forward to my stay again. On arrival, after checking in and leaving a ten euro security deposit, we were told that we were staying in a house across the street from sleepzone. The house was nice and clean and so was the room but the beds... more

The hostel was very clean and very central which was good. However, there were lots of 'hidden' extras. We were a group of 5 and it wasn't until we booked in that we were told we had to pay a deposit for each key, a deposit for the towels (which I suppose isn't that unusal for a hostel) and a... more
