Before we arrived at St. Jude's I was a little apprehensive as to how we would be welcomed due to some mixed reviews on the Trip Advisor. My husband and I booked with St. Judes anyways. We were NOT disappointed. We arrived after a long day........flight over from Scotland and 3 hour train ride from Dublin. It was a chilly... more

We recently stayed at St. Jude's for a total of 3 nights as part of a three week holiday throughout the UK and Ireland. We booked the family room upstairs and found it tidy and comfortable. The location was convenient and within walkable distance to both Salthill and Galway City centre, in the heart of a quiet, residential neighborhood. Overall... more

My husband and I recently spent a night at St. Judes. We had booked ahead, and confirmed the room. When we arrived, the door was opened by an unsmiling woman, who barely said hello. Ita then proceeded to go into another room, closing the door, and leaving us standing in the entryway. After a couple of minutes, she returned and... more

Galway was the first stop on our driving tour of Ireland. Ita graciously allowed us to check-in early and we passed out in our room. All the rooms are lovely from the dining room to the bathroom. Really elegantly done. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order by Sinead. There are lots of options if you're not into the Irish... more

I highly recommend St. Judes B&B in Galway (Salthill). A period house with nicely furnished rooms. Just the right size. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was plenty of it. Get the picnic lunch, a great bargain compared with restaurant food. About a 15 minute walk to the river, 20 minutes to Eyre Square. Nice... more

Have just got back from a five night stay at St Judes. Mrs Johnstone and her family looked after me wonderfully during my stay. My room, which overlooked the rear garden, was a lovely size and well appointed. Unlike a lot of hotels/B&Bs I've been to the shower was really very good. I didn't have an evening meal but a... more

St. Jude's B&B is a lovely place to rest your head in Galway. When we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member who showed us to our room and gave us some information about the local area, including walking directions to the Pedestrian Zone in Galway (15-20 mins) and Salthill (5 mins). There is also a really nice promenade... more

The house is beautiful, and restored in full period detail (with, of course, the exception of modern amenities like TVs, wifi, etc). It's really tasteful, and yet luxurious. It's not quite in the city center, but we were able to walk down to Quay street within about 15 minutes, and the directions were easy to follow. The car park is... more

Stayed the night of Fri. Feb 20th. Wonderful room, well appointed. Again, the decor was like nothing was incredibly tasteful and impressive. Breakfast was a winner also. Wish we had more time to spend around the house. Wireless web was a great plus, allowing us to plan our upcoming day. Thanks for all. Bob Moire Kings Park, NY more
