First the positives: The hotel was cheap, breakfast was decent and free. Staff seemed very nice and the room was clean. Great hotel in the middle of Galway - handy for city break weekenders rather than a romantic getaway. The location is very central, within walking distance of everything (that's the whole point of Galway), rooms are clean and modern and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Staff at Forster Court very helpful. Rooms have been updated, but the quality of work very poor. Lots of caulk seemed to be used, painted around headboards (blue painting tape remained in places!) and bathtub needed to be retiled, grout was black in areas. Thanks for your review. With regards to your comment I would like to respond: The hotel underwent major rennovation works during this year which has dramatically improved the customer experience. The addition of Sony Bravia LCD TV's, ultra comfort beds etc has improved the quality of the stay. However there was a period of two weeks where wiring etc was...
We stayed just one night in Forster Court, because it was close to the train station. I found the room to be clean, and the service people were friendly. We had a great street view from our balcony. The rooms decor is a tad dated, but otherwise we had a good stay. more
Rooms are lovely - were re-decorated in May. Rooms were also spotlessly clean. Staff are brilliant. Breakfast and evening meals were included in our deal and the food was great. Service was brilliant. Car parking was just around the corner. Would definately stay here again more
We booked two nights at the Forster Court Hotel as it was the least expensive hotel in teh Eyre Square Area. We were happy to find the hotel room clean and well maintained.
