I stayed at the western for 2 nights. The parking was easy to find at the rear of the hotel and the room was really clean and spacious. Checked into The Western and our room was not what we expected. Talked with front desk staff who offered us one of their lovely apartments for our two night stay - first night at the rate we paid for a much smaller room and then regular rate. Amazing staff, Spaceious room, very clean, Must stay in Galway! No gym or indoor pool, But other than that great place to stay great warm welcome on arrival. more

We stayed in The western in Galway for over a month from the beginning of August on a work trip. The staff were always extremely friendly, courteous and accommodating. A group of us stayed over the weekend. Staff throughout had a very pleasant manner which is sometimes lacking in hotels. Location is great, no need for taxis. Breakfast was very good each morning. more

Stayed on a Friday night with two friends. Perfect location to enjoy Galway night beside Eyre Square. The free car park was a plus too. Upon arrival we had food in the bar which was good, friendly staff too. Residents bar stayed open until after three. Enjoyed a breakfast the next morning. more

Great location! Myself and my wife visited Galway during August. The hotel is in the middle of everything. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend it for a comfortable stay in Galway more

stayed here before and it was fine, this time the shower wouldn't work then flooded, the room below and was unable to get a shower in the end.
