I stayed here for three days in August 2008, with my wife and my 5 years old daughter and other two families. Rooms are sufficiently spacious and everything is managed with care. Louise helped us to go to Aran Islands: well, she obtained a sunny day too! Everyone is very nice, but, of course, my favourite is Louise. She also... more

I cannot begin to express how wonderful my stay at Abacus Guest House was! I was very warmly greeted by Breege who kindly asked me whether I needed help up the stairs with my suitcase and who supplied me with a city map and let me know if I needed anything to feel free to ask! My room was immaculate,... more

If you're looking for a B&B in Galway look no further. I loved Abacus Guest House. I'm really fussy about cleanliness and good service and as such was incredibly happy that I couldn't fault my stay. The room I stayed in was fresh, bright and immaculately clean. The furnishing was as new and the whole place was tasteful and tidy.... more

The family who runs the Abacus B&B were among the warmest and friendliest that I encountered in my entire trip. They gave a number of recommendations as to what to see and where to go in Galway and provided a wonderful Irish breakfast. The facilities were clean and comfortable and made for an excellent home base from which to explore... more

Having recently stayed at Abacus for 3 nights, I can only use one word, Excellent. Noel, Breege and family went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. As I was in Galway on business, the free wifi proved invaluable. Although, my laptop acted-up, Louise soon had the matter sorted, (always handy to have an I.T student on board... more

After a month living in this wonderful B&B I can only say thank you very much. You made me feel really good. Great hospitality, very clean rooms, free internet, TV, only 20 minutes from Shop Street, very well connected....... and a REALLY NICE BREAKFAST. The best I can say, I would repeat this Irish experience in ABACUS. Noel, Breege, Louise,... more

Stayed 2 nights with my very tall son who often feels claustrophibic! Lovely spacious room with double and single bed, plenty of wardrobe space. Great en-suite with plenty of space and good ceiling height, power shower, toiletries provided, excellent. Table and chairs in our room with folder full of all the information we needed for getting around including map of... more

Had a great stay here. Only slight drawback is that it's outside of Galway city a little, but it is only 20 minutes walk into the city and there are buses and taxis. Beautiful spacious room. Very friendly. Lovely breakfast. more

We were in this wonderful B&B only for one night but we hope to come back asap because the rooms are wide and very clean, the bed is comfortable and we received a warm welcome. The breakfast was fantastic because you can choice a lot of different typical Irish breakfasts: for example I had a tea with yoghurt and corn... more
